Had another winter weather advisory lasting until 5 this morning. Suppose to have wind and snow causing hazardous driving conditions. Ended up only having a few snowflakes that fell. Gotta love those weather forecasters!

The snow is very pretty Mitch and that 1st picture looks like a giant spider web covered w/ snow in the back left part of photo, cool!

Thanks, j.w., usually the snow doesn't stick to the bare branches of the poplar trees so much but we had 2 days of hoar frost before this and the effect was extra snowy!
The spider web trellis is something I built for my wife's garden a couple of years ago.
The temperature is back above 32 F this morning, so the snow should be off a lot of the trees today.

Very nice pictures Mitch! Love the big trees! Right now the temperature is warmwr than it was last night! Currently around 15 degrees Fahrenheit, Chinook winds supposed to blow in later this morning and warm things up to above freezing, and melt the snow again. Pond has some ice and I have heater plugged in. :)

Had a high of 64*F yesterday. We delivered about 60 Thanksgiving meals yesterday to the needy. Makes you realize how good you really have it after seeing some of the places we did yesterday. Feel bad for them but at least they got a free hot meal yesterday without having to leave their home. Had my 10 year old with us and our 15 month old too helping deliver the meals. Eden our baby was just there for the smiles. After the meals were done we started on our own Thanksgiving meal. It was a great day..

Today we had a cold front pass thru and had a low of 21*F and is currently 28*F. Going be cold for next week or so. Good thing my jeep goes to the shop on Monday to get the heater core replaced. It's been a bit cold with no heat.

jw, you have some great animated GIFs. :)
The web idea is my wife's. I told her that if she could draw a trellis, I could build it....

Thanks sissy. To built the trellis out of 1 X 2 cedar, I drew out 1/2 of the web on a 4 X 8 sheet of MDF plywood then put 2 halves together to form the whole thing.
The pieces radiating out from the center are whole pieces. I evenly spaced out the 7 sections then cut small pieces to fit in between.
Here are a couple of pictures from a spiderweb from our previous residence.
Hopefully it gives a clearer picture for you.
