Hey John we've had sunshine here for the last few days and today was chilly but when we went to cut wood I had to take my sweatshirt off and just had my tshirt on and was nice w/ the sun shining down. Only in the 40's right now and tonight will be another frosty one w/ temps prolly in the high 20's here........brrrrrrrr.............I better go plug in the lights around the trunk of my Mexican Fan Palm or it will freeze to death as that one is not hardy here but I've been trying to save it's butt w/ the warm lights. Made it through last winter that way but also put sheets over it on really cold nights. Better roll the two in pots into the garage for the night and then roll them out tomorrow. And that goes on all winter long! Sheesh why do I do this?

I would have to turn into lizard or snake and hibernate with that weather, Colleen.

I do take my hat off to all you folk that not only get around doing whatever you have to do in such conditions....but actually look forward to all the snow.

Was supposed to get to 22C here today, felt a lot hotter working out in the sun. Rain arrived this afternoon and it has cooled off nicely. Still got one veg bed to mulch though.

I need to think about what C is converted to F...Hm....I am thinking 22C would be around....70F.

j.w., it's very chilly here. Remarkably chilly for this time of year. Yesterday during the afternoon, I saw frost on roof shakes for the first time this year. And it was during the afternoon! But I live on the side of a hill where the temperature is a few degrees colder than the rest of the city because of the shade and the hill.

WHEW!! Winds blowing a constant 40mph, gust'n 60mph. All the county roads blowing so much and the grasslands dirt blotting out the sun. Kind of spooky!! Eating dirt is kind of like eating rock, not too appetizing. I'm staying inside as much as possible.
