1st pic is a passion flower. It is supposed to be tropical but the seeds keep coming back every year. It is a big climber. Others are honeysuckle and several clematis varieties. 45 here today and we lucked out with the latest storm going north of us.

For all you poor souls having to go through all the pain and suffering of the Dentist chair!

Sung to the tune of Pink Floyd's Hey Teachers Leave Them Kids Alone!

We don't need no partial implants
We don't need no root canal
No deep dark filling cavity holes
Hey Dentists leave us all alone
Hey! Dentists! leave us all alone!
All in all its just another tooth in your pie hole
All in all its just another tooth in your pie hole

Wrong do it again!
If you don't eat your organic veggies, you can't have any Cambells soup!
How can you have any Cambells soup if you don't eat your organic veggies?
You! Yes you behind the rocked pond, stand still, buddy!

JW, That's cute! I like that! Now I'll be humming that tune all day while out working by the pond!

What is the first pic, Mrs. Clem? It's really neat looking. I got some seeds of a deep red flower, think the guy said they were called passion flower, or maybe sex flower? Anyhow, the flower looks like a penis in the middle. LOL It's a climber, too. Didn't plant any of them this year, wanted to make sure the area would stay grass/weed free for a year first with the mulch. Will plant them in the spring.
It's 44 this morning, been getting only up to 50's, but chilly and rainy. Looking for 60's and sunny this weekend, and I could have sworn I heard close to 70 for Veteran's Day on Tuesday, but now it's showing only 40's for high on next Mon/Tues. Yuck! I'll have to really enjoy the weekend for sure!!!
I still have lots of flowers blooming in my yard, too, but most of them got frost bit last week. It's ok, it IS November after all.

Patti! I can't believe you actually wrote that!! LMAO! Not what I was expecting to read! and yes there is a red variety of SEX flower!! lol

And for a final note, as the Famous Jeff Foxworthy would say, I must be a Redneck, I got more tattoo's than teeth! I've had full dentures since I was in my early 30's Every single one of my brothers and sisters lost them all before the age of 40. I think my sister lost hers when she was younger than me. Must have been something genetic. I keep warning my kids to take as good of care as possible with theirs!

Oh and a pleasant 64 right now with sunny skies here. Guess I better get out there and enjoy some of this nice cool weather! Won't last long I'm sure.

And speaking of dentists, the one I visited as a kid was so rough, I avoided the entire profession for a LONG time. Found out years later that he wasn't even a dentist, he was a VETERINARIAN!!!! People in the village figured if he could check a horse's teeth, he could check theirs as well! So now I have two partial bridges, and I blame it on HIM!
Oh, and in keeping on subject....about two degrees below freezing most nights, not much warmer during the day. Half an inch of ice on the pond, so I put in the de-icer today. :grumble:

Been in the high 40's during the day and getting just below freezing at night. So far no ice on the pond. Went for a nice swim in the pond this weekend with my waders and the pond vac cleaning up some of the leaves that had fallen in. Pond felt cold then but I couldn't check the temp because Mr. Gunner decided the thermometer was gonna be one of his chew toys. Grr....dog has all kinds of toys of his own but still chews on anything he shouldn't.

Puppies do that, they chew, used to have three big puppies, down to two now, but they would "eat me out if the house",... and then EAT the HOUSE!! And that's true, legs on kitchen chair all "mouth carved", and the window and door frames, coach and bed were also carved with sharp little teeth.... what do you do, Poppy told me it was "Bear", Bear said he did not know what happened, fell asleep with his head under the table and chairs and must have chewed in his sleep!! Ha ha ha :)
Oh ya supposed to snow and rain tonight, get real cold by Thursday, getting heater ready!!

Funny John, but not really for a poor kid who is being treated like a horse, for Heavens sake! Did he slap you on the rump and give you an apple as you left his office

Brandon shame on Mr Gunner.................no goodies for him tonight!

Was so nice and sunny here today, went for my long walk and a mama deer and her fawn crossed the road right in front of me!

Colleen... This is something that he has just started doing more recently. He is 13 months old right now. Everyone has said that he will chew on things for a while and then he will stop. He has been sleeping in our bed since he was 4 months old. All of the daycare parents love him and play with him when they pick up in the afternoon. Gunner is still in bed when all the kids come in the morning. He doesn't wake up til about 9ish. Must be rough.

Our local newspaper did a boner today! They posted the 5-day weather, and it was all in the 90's and 70's for lows!!!! Turns out they used this past June for the weather for this week. I have a feeling someone did that on purpose, what do you think? Several of my Facebook friends posted it, we always referred to the paper as the "Effingham Daily Mistake", as they always had stupid errors in their paper. It's the largest paper in our area, although Effingham is only about 16,000 strong population. Other towns are much smaller, more like 1,500 to 2,500 population. I thought it was funny! Sure wish it was warmer, but not THAT warm for goodness sake.
Supposed to get up to the 60's this weekend, so I'm sure looking forward to that!!!

We have a winter storm watch in effect from Thursday morning through Friday afternoon, 35 degrees right now and scattered snow showers in the morning with a mixture of snow and rain showers this afternoon. High tomorrow a scorching 25! Low tomorrow night 13. Ugh winters coming.

Larkin, if I had known others would for sure know what a "sex flower" was, I would not have described it. LOL At least I didn't call it a "pet" name ....
Very foggy here this morning, I'm sure hoping the sun is going to come out today. Been several days without it and makes me feel gloomy.
Going to get a "plug" put into my tooth cavity hole this morning, where extracted tooth was. I was panicking yesterday, could not talk without air going through that hole into sinus cavity. And then to have surgeon tell me, "No blowing nose AT ALL, no rinsing mouth (um, you TOLD me to rinse with salt water, but it came out my nose and then drained back into my mouth!!!), and don't mess with the blood clot, don't suck on it." Well, after I ate supper last night (yogurt with granola softenend in it and soup), I noticed the blood clot looked to be gone, or mostly gone. Oops! WTH, am I supposed to quit eating? Not like I can use a straw to direct the food to the other side, straws not allowed either. And, how in the world am I supposed to answer the phone at work, when talking makes air go through that hole and makes funny sounds, too! Sometimes it sounds like a whistle and other times ... here you go, Larkin .. it literally sounds like a 'fart' in my mouth! Gross!!! That's when the surgeon said, "Well, I can see it's really bothering you, so we should put a plug in there." You think so???? Geesh! However, this morning it seems to be good, no air leaking so far, but then I have not been talking much either. I don't see the blood clot in place, so that is worrying me as well, as that is a sign of getting a dry socket, which reportedly is VERY painful! Sure don't want that!!! So, I'll go get the plug and hope for the best.
