Some stuff is considered medical and can be charged to goverment. That's how it works here in Canada. Hopefully by they time you need any JW, the treatment will be more "high tech" and they can just grow us new teeth! Or better yet some "Great change" will happen and things will greatly improve after the election, and you will get free dental in future! We can only dream for now....:)

The tooth pulling was considered medical, but I had a deductible so most of it had to be paid by me because of the $125 deductible. Now I just need to get the rest of the work done before the end of my fiscal year (ends June 30 next year).
It's never any fun, and right now I'm wishing I had gone ahead and taken the pain pill when I got home, cause I just took it about 30 minutes ago and not doing much yet, getting worse instead of better. Hope it kicks in soon. Stupid me, trying to be "strong". Who in the world am I trying to impress, ME??? I hate this gauze that's in my mouth, too. Yuck yuck yuck! It's still bleeding, though, so assume I need to leave it in until they come out without blood on them.

I've had 2 root canals done before. I was young so I didn't think it was that bad. One of them I left work, had it done and went back to work. I need to have more dental work done I just hate going.

Nothing in this world scares me more that the DENTIST! The only time I get a prescription for adavan, to help calm my nerves, otherwise I would not go. I have one tooth left to fix, want to replace the metal filling with gold, so I can out my money where my mouth is! Ha ha ha!

Hahaha colleen! :D
I've been having dental work done too, been so busy making sure my kids stay up on dental visits and things, I neglected myself :(
So 4 fillings later... Lol. Having trouble with the last one, he repaired a filling that apparently had an abscess, so been on antibiotics a while. Wow that stuff hurts!

For all you poor souls having to go through all the pain and suffering of the Dentist chair!

Sung to the tune of Pink Floyd's Hey Teachers Leave Them Kids Alone!

We don't need no partial implants
We don't need no root canal
No deep dark filling cavity holes
Hey Dentists leave us all alone
Hey! Dentists! leave us all alone!
All in all its just another tooth in your pie hole
All in all its just another tooth in your pie hole

Yes, toothaces have got to be the worst! Never had so much pain when I bumped by head and cracked tooth a few years back.
While we are on the topic of teeth.... I had all my teeth very late in life, was still losing baby teeth in Junior high school. I only got my first wisdom tooth at 32! Then the only other one I got was on the other side, 12 years later at 44! Dentist said he never saw anyone else get their wisdom teeth so late in life! I guess it is not very common, but does happen!! I had to have it pulled out, cause it gave me headaches. Was going to see if I could save it.... and I did!!! I know, I am very strange, I have saved lots of my teeth since I was a kid in this little medal old Avon perfume container from like over 40 years ago....

Oh ya, there is a little bit of purfume left in container, and it still smells nice after 40 years at least!!

Just getting caught up on this thread. CE- I have dental insurance but it won't pay for the implant. Had a horrible dentist as a child so no dental care for a LONG time. Ended up finding my new dentist 3 years ago and love them. 8 crowns later finally got hubby going (35+ years dentist free). The bridge on this tooth would have required 4 teeth capped as it is the front tooth. They origionally said implant was not possible because of bone loss but with the new laser treatment it can be done. Lucky to have the dentist who perfected implants doing the procedure.

Have all my teeth, so far they are hanging in there, root canals, crowns, but still all there. I get them cleaned at least twice a year, have for years. I think that makes a big difference. And use a water pic, good cleaning tool, electric toothbrush also very good.

Possible snow today, then back up to 63 this weekend

What is the first pic, Mrs. Clem? It's really neat looking. I got some seeds of a deep red flower, think the guy said they were called passion flower, or maybe sex flower? Anyhow, the flower looks like a penis in the middle. LOL It's a climber, too. Didn't plant any of them this year, wanted to make sure the area would stay grass/weed free for a year first with the mulch. Will plant them in the spring.
It's 44 this morning, been getting only up to 50's, but chilly and rainy. Looking for 60's and sunny this weekend, and I could have sworn I heard close to 70 for Veteran's Day on Tuesday, but now it's showing only 40's for high on next Mon/Tues. Yuck! I'll have to really enjoy the weekend for sure!!!
I still have lots of flowers blooming in my yard, too, but most of them got frost bit last week. It's ok, it IS November after all.
