Is that fan for you, Sissy, or for your plants?!? Looks like a great way to stay cool while working in the sun in the hot summertime!
I do need to throw out a few exceptions for reasons some emotional support is ligit; severe social anxiety, and angoraphoia. Some forms of ptsd can be helped with an emotional support dog too. But yes, some people do take it too far. As for ponies and miniature horses, I saw a show about using them as service animals. With proper hoove covers, and cleanup, they do well. Fewer people allergic to them, stronger than a dog that size, there is one that is a seeing eye pony in some city.Oh good grief! Well, this confirms my fear that people are just plain stupid! And, businesses are ignorant to allow this kind of behavior, for fear of being sued. No, they cannot sue a business for not allowing an emotional support animal inside. They simply will lose the business.
Now, take into consideration the people who are allowed to take their dogs onto planes. I'm ok with it, as long as that dog sits on their lap. But, what if the person sitting next to them is allergic? Yep, the attendants have to find somewhere else for one of them to sit. It can become a disaster, especially if the person with the dog is mean! So, there are all sorts of things that can domino in these situations. I think when people start leaving restaurants because someone came in with their dog, then restaurants will begin to rethink their decisions to allow it. Yes, a seeing eye dog or REAL Service Dog should be allowed. They are life and death support needed for that person. An emotional support dog? The person has come to think they cannot live with the animal when in reality, they just don't WANT the dog to have to stay home. That's my opinion, anyhow.
Which brand? Trying to find a good brand for under $200, the one in the well now is just about 4 yrs old. Going to pull it tomorrow, we were getting freezing rain on the way home, and neither dad nor I had energy for that too. I looked online, found info on the one they’d had before, might end up just fixing that if we can’t find one. Also going to make sure well hasn’t gone dry, which is doubtful, but a chance as we haven’t had a lot of rain to refill the aquifer lately.pumps are cheaper at plumbing supply places .I paid 155 dollars for my 1 1/2 horse power pump made of stainless steel and not like the other cheap made ones .You probably have a jet pump and a pump house and they are cheaper .Well on another note it was 58 degrees here today and sunny and now clouds rolling in for the rain coming
I'm not sold on seeing eye ponies, but I do agree they can be great for other things. You just can't have a pony in the house, and if you need an emotional support animal, a pony would not be the best choice, IMO. As far as PTSD needs, I totally agree that dogs would be a great help, and for the other situations you are talking about. People who NEED to have their animals nearby to function probably are not going to noisy places like restaurants and malls. And, if they did and that animal was needed, I'm guessing they could legally get a doctors order that allowed it, if it behaved in public and crowds. I just don't ever see any restaurant allowing a pony, mini or not, because of someone that has it as an ESA. My sister, on the other hand, just WANTS her dog to go everywhere with her, and therefore ACTS like she NEEDS her, and is a great faker when it suits her. That's what is so frustrating in all of this!!!I do need to throw out a few exceptions for reasons some emotional support is ligit; severe social anxiety, and angoraphoia.
