Oh good grief! Well, this confirms my fear that people are just plain stupid! And, businesses are ignorant to allow this kind of behavior, for fear of being sued. No, they cannot sue a business for not allowing an emotional support animal inside. They simply will lose the business.
Now, take into consideration the people who are allowed to take their dogs onto planes. I'm ok with it, as long as that dog sits on their lap. But, what if the person sitting next to them is allergic? Yep, the attendants have to find somewhere else for one of them to sit. It can become a disaster, especially if the person with the dog is mean! So, there are all sorts of things that can domino in these situations. I think when people start leaving restaurants because someone came in with their dog, then restaurants will begin to rethink their decisions to allow it. Yes, a seeing eye dog or REAL Service Dog should be allowed. They are life and death support needed for that person. An emotional support dog? The person has come to think they cannot live with the animal when in reality, they just don't WANT the dog to have to stay home. That's my opinion, anyhow. :)

remember this? February 2, 2011.

Oh, I remember. That was the largest snow storm I've seen. I was trying to shovel my driveway the night that it started, but it was falling and blowing faster than I could shovel. The wind was insane. I was worried that trees or branches would fall as I was attempting to shovel. I realized it was a lost cause and stayed inside. I woke up the next morning and was shocked when I looked out my bedroom window at the neighbor's house. Snow drifts everywhere, from 4 to 5 feet.

I looked out my front window and it was the same thing. At this point, I wondered if my snowblower would even be able to handle it. It did, but just barely, and it took hours.

Just over three feet of snow in my patio. Because all of that snow would've had to been moved all the way across my driveway, I didn't touch it. It had to melt where it was. As you can somewhat see, this was my patio before my current pond. My pond area starts where that 6' fence was.

Still, by noon the roads were clean and life was back to normal.

My daughter and I tried the same thing - we figured we could stay ahead of it if we got up several times during the night. After the first attempt we gave up - too much too fast! We had to have our two neighbors come with snowblowers to get us out. We walked along the banks and knocked the snow into the driveway and they followed behind and blew it out. It was quite the endeavor. That was the year I decided I would never be without a snowblower again! We didn't get cleared as fast as you though - it was two days before we could get out of our subdivision.

Our river down below the hill is almost at flood stage w/all the rain that came down last night and the higher temps are melting our mountain snow which all flows down here. Guess we will be stuck up here for a bit if it floods. Doesn't usually last very long tho.

Got about 4" overnight, and now expecting another 3"-4" tomorrow. A few more chances throughout next week as well.

Cold. Cold. Cold. -4 when I got up this morning. It's double digits right now, and snow expected to start any minute. They're predicting another 2-5 inches. Yay???
