Wow. Nice!
our fish are like our kids, right? God knows how much money and time I spend on them! I mainly started doing this when I realized it's the wind that accelerates winter evaporation and creates thicker ice. Really nice now in spring when I uncover and get the pond going probably a month sooner than I used to. Works well to keep any stray leaves out of the pond, too.

i just neglect my pond but it thrives on it ,no time for it .I wish I had the time but it is getting harder and harder to get the time .3 acres to mow shrubs to trim ,trees to trim and then grocery shopping and remodeling the house by myself and redoing guest cottage .But seems the pond does not care an doing great ,water is clear fish are happy and filters are neglected .Only thing i have done is take dead hyacinth out and cut back dead banana plants
