What does your pond look like ... Today?

All the ice melted, now back to liquid. Pond water temp is 44F All of our snow is gone.

We have had two days of sub 20 degree temps which has resulted in many icicles and a thick layer of ice

no snow no ice but cold out and wind is really cold plants in pond still growing and have not turned on the heater yet but aerator is still running

We never made it above 28 so pond froze again.................lol

Thought for for sure we were guaranteed a white Christmas the first in years . Well 3 inches of rain in 12 hours over night with 30 mph sustained winds and 60 mph gusts and so much for a white Christmas even the snow banks were gone only the ice on the pond survived but barely.by morning it was allllllll gone

back to frozen water, 17f this am, it will melt we are heading to 50 tomorrow

We had the rain on Thursday, then the temps plunged. Never got above freezing on Christmas & then that night we dropped down to 15 - 16 degrees. Woke up yesterday to a mostly frozen pond & some cool ice sculptures:

It got up to 40 yesterday, and last night we stayed right at 32, so this morning everything's thawed out again. This is shaping up to be another 'winter that wasn't' (like last year) Even my daffodils think it's Spring!

SO FAR NOT COLD ENOUGH YET .i HAD TO GO DOWN TO MY NEIGHBORS I guess they were here the other day when I went to the dump and asked hubby if he saw a long haired grey cat and he did not mention it to me .I have seen it the last couple of nights eating my 2 stray cats food .So went down and told them after I mentioned the cat to hubby .Geeze seems like every ones loose pets end up at my house .Not sure why .I told them they may have to trap him because he won't come near me ,he just runs away .He usually shows up after midnight or sometime after that .Like this morning it was 2 am .I took a pic from my security camera to show them and they said yep their cat .

I guess so ,he stands back and meows at me but I can't get near him .I tried ,out there in the cold in my pj's and barefeet .My 2 strays came out and hissed at him like get away don't hurt my mommy .They came out from their heated nest I guess to protect me

Yep you need a live trap!

I had live traps but they are over at the other house and I don't feel like driving an hour there and back and Mike told me the bridge is being worked on over there and you end up going another 15 minutes past and have to come back another 15 minutes back to where the house is .

Well if they want their cat back let the neighbors get some traps. After all it's their cat but I have a feeling it will come right back to your place so I think you just acquired another cat

i CALLED ANIMAL CONTROL AND THE CAT IS FIXED AND MICROCHIPPED AND SHE IS GOING TO CALL the people and tell them they will have to trap their cat or she will and charge them for it .I really do not want her to do that but I don't want to be feeding every ones cats either .I give my cats good healthy food and they flea and tick stuff and they are due next year for their rabies shots .They may be outdoor cats but they are well taken care of .I call them FATCATS

My sister got me set of color changing LED lights for the pond for Christmas. Had to do some work on the pond so I didn’t actually get to enjoy them until last night.
