Very nice!
Fog?Just rained and I've never seen it do this before.
Steam, it was 78 in the day but its 39 out now.Fog?
Amazingly, we didn't even get a dusting from that storm, at my house in northwestern Vermont. Not today, but December 17th we had an overnight blizzard that dumped a record overnight snowfall of 40 inches (overnight, there was nothing on the ground on the 16th, and when we woke up on the 17th, there was this). My pond, from my back porch. It's in there somewhere. That triangle-shaped lump you see is the very top of a full size Adirondack chair that's sitting beside the top of the waterfall, which is also in there...somewhere (not running, shut off for winter).

Don't underestimate the 300watt titanium aquarium heater. It does the job, even with the pond totally uncovered and no pump in it this year. No hint of surface ice. I'm kinda worried about it melting a hole in the liner, to be honest. Probably need to put it on a rock in there. Water is brown from leaves. I fought a good battle, but the tannins won.

The view from my steps, looking down from my porch (the handrail is full height), then halfway through digging myself out, then the breezeway, where you can really appreciate the depth of the snow (that's the top of the garage it's up to there), and after several hours of shovelling out.

It's all melting now...and flooding everything, which is why I've not been here to post photos earlier, my basement is nearly a foot deep and the pond pump is being repurposed into a sump pump temporarily. News about the snow/floods:

BKHpondcritters is correct. They are forget-me-nots. Real easy to grow. They are rooted at the side between some rocks and then they spread out on top of the water. They were beautiful this year until the toads came and started mating. Broke them all apart. It recovered, but wasn't as large. I took the pieces that broke off and gave them away. There are also forget-me-nots in the foreground of this picture. What is the plant to the right of the waterfall?
