Looking great! So neat you have plants in there already, too, so you can watch them grow and bloom while you work on the walls. And, love the fact you inscribed a date in the concrete. :)

Very cool whiskey! Nice soft color on the bricks and yippee on the water wheel mounts in there now. You are getting closer to the finish.

Hi everyone lot been going on over the weekend, gave our sieve unit second coat of rubber paint, looks like brand new, still got one more coat before installing in new home, outside of workshop.

As you all can see, started on the right hand wall of pond, had to alter possition of back bay wall ,so laid on top of paving slaps [still got room to service things] reason being ...block walling on main pond 220mm, the other walling only 100mm , i only aloud 100mm on all walls, so its now 120mm longer.

Bottom drain gulley finally dug out and done, started to glue together 4" pipework in workshop all 4600mm of it, had to sand the pipes to get them to fit tight, when first tried they only went half way up unit, guess i will have to do the same on sieve end. [ there was me thinking you just slide these things together.....how wrong!]

Waterbug [ flower bays] i wish i had made them bigger, lots of depth but small in width, so going to put two rows of smaller bricks , on blocks to create wider earth bed.
Must admit im a fan of this new rubber paint ,cover well, easy to apply and dries well if left for 24 hours.
Used extra long 3/4 tubing to test level of blockwork , its out by about 15mm from front pier to water wheel wall, running up , so was lucky it wasnt running down, otherwise water on window would of been nearly 1 1/2" DOWN ON WINDOW, could if i wish to later raise top slaps to get it correct, time for that decision, once the water is in.

Here are some more photos of progress

Wow, things are really coming along very well! LOVE your collie dog (look in the doorway of the second pic), Whiskey. Looks like it does a good job of saying out of your way. :)
And, where do you get to dump all that dirt you are removing for the drain, and how do you get it out of there? I see those bucket/totes, but those would be really heavy to lift into a wheelbarrow, I would guess.

Hi to one and all,

Well been slow on the build last week and looks slow again this week, due to april weather, rain forecast most of week, so been stuck in workshop making filter units, which are forever

changing and being upgraded daily, will take some photos when finished and rubber coated.

One will be a shower filter with either six or nine trays of crystal bio media, [ three a breast and three high ] pump size 9000 or greater.

The other being a slower unit containing brushes ,foams [course, medium, fine, carbon and wool].and k3 media with air pump.

hi to all how great is my hubby whiskey doing with our ponds, with great interest i have watched and helped him along with our son,its a real joy and testament to all he is doing,we are so proud of him especially after his heart probs;the tubs of soil we have moved was a task and a bit but goforit as whiskeys calls our lad and me laughed all the way to the finish, trouble is when i lift anything with our lad we just burst with laughter, dont know why,who cares,we dont job still gets done eh? getting closer to finish now, cannot wait for thefilling of pond-but i have to test it first, surely a quick dip with the feet and a rum and coke on the side in the sun, oops dont think whiskey would approve, only an idea, ther will be plenty of pics, when whiskey is all done,we are hoping to set up an indoor marine tank, along with outside ponds this is another of my favourites,so watch this space folks.lol terrys wife jenny xx

I think the 3 of you should warm up the water and relax in there w/ your lemonade or preferred drinky's and soak your weary bones after all that work you've done! We want pix if ya do! Oh come on tell Whiskey to be a sport :0000000057:
