Ridiculously hot out today, so I avoided the outdoors as much as possible.

Worked on, and trying out, a new logo/watermark for my photography. I'm undecided if the camera part of the logo will stay, but I definitely like the way the "J" and "B" flow into each other.

Personally I like just your initials. Really like your pond pics. My wife and I live in the Milwaukee area. I don’t see any hostas and we have too many. Maybe we could trade some flowers in the spring. What do you think?

I went to my first ever (and second ever) NASCAR races today! I've been a fan for 15 years but had never seen them in person before.
It was awesome! The ARCA Menards Series and Craftsman Truck Series ran a double-header at the Milwaukee Mile today. This was NASCAR's first time back in a long time. They're trying to make the track active again, and rumor is Indycar may be returning to it as well.

We've been to several of the cup races at Dover. Nothing like actually being there! Always try to get seats right at the restart line, the noise is deafening! I had tickets for the truck race at Eldora dirt track a couple of years ago. Nascar took the track off their schedule.

Went on a poker ride . "Motorcycle" the event was sponsored by the Farmington POLO Club . They also had the top end cars from around the word. Mostly High end sports cars. MacLarren, Ferrari , and many others.
The ride was escorted by the police. There had to be 20 motorcycle cops and untold number of town cops blocking side streets and light. 40 miles non stop just go go go. Always a good ride through the country. And of course the usual drivers who try to cut through the line. Same rules as a funeral folks be patient the line will pass shortly.

I decided to sit near turn 4 and I can honestly say I'd sit there again. It was the perfect place to be for photography. I also don't like crowds, and as busy as it was, very few people sat in turn 4. The reserved seating was nearly sold out, and it was of course crowded near the start-finish line and near turn 1, but there were so few people near turn 4.

I liked when the Trucks raced at Eldora. I hope they go back there.

Painted this today. My grandma's birthday is coming up so I wanted to paint something autumn-related for her, and her favorite flower is a sunflower. Saw this general design online and went with it. I still need to add some twine so it can be hung.

I put tires on my mower, after 15 years they dry rotted.
Bought on Amazon rims and all, great price.

Then spot mowed grass still not growing.

Got my leaf net up yesterday, so today I am just relaxing and enjoying the fruit of my labor with my cat. It's 1pm and breakfast will happen as soon as Seraph has had enough outside time.

Beautiful spider! Haven't seen any of those this year. Black widows in my garden hose caddy. Not relocating those.
Went to make sure leaf netting over ponds was secure ahead of this storm. Net on goldfish pond was hanging in the water. Pulled it up to find one of Addys snakes! It must have just gotten in this morning so grabbed the scissors and cut it loose. Ungrateful snake tried to bite me 3 times after I cut it loose. That was the first ( Hopefully last) this year. 4 foot and really fat.

Almost put my hand on this pretty one. About had a heart attack.....around 3 inches tip of leg to leg. Moved her and egg case, gently. View attachment 160580
Gosh in the photo it looks huge! 3" for a spider is bigger than any we have around here.
Wonder if it's bite will cause issues? Nice of you to help her and her kids out :)
