thank you and so was he .I knew they were OK .I was surprised at how fast it froze over after I disconnected the aerator .It was not even frozen at all before I took that in .Shows how good an aerator can work at keeping a pond unfrozen .I had air stones in both my filters also and now both are frozen.I was trying to keep the video light for a small child LOL

It was new laguna one and I disconnected it yesterday morning because it was supposed to get down to 8 degrees last night and I did not want to ruin it .I also disconnected the 1 pump in the small filter and pulled the hose out of the big filter to just let it fall into the waterfall area .It had been really windy here and temps last night actually got down to 6 degrees and the wind chill made it feel like 1 degrees .I had my aerator just in a bucket turned sideways and since i was not sure I thought it was better to be safe than sorry

I just love to hear everybody's accents and hear their voices, maybe cause I never travel much so everyone sounds so southern down there, except Sissy, she sounds sort of like the German Hutterites from around here, just a bit, mixed with a southern accent.

I just love watching your video Sissy, and CE has one too on her thread, so it has been a VERY exciting day for me, to match the voice to people that have been posting around here for years. Now where is JW's live Video! and I would just love to see video from everyone on here!

yea, it got below zero here. real temperature not wind chill----bbrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I left all my stuff running (nothing terribly expensive though, I think the air pumps are actually made for aquariums) looks like all is well at least for now anyway :)

You should be just fine Maria, your not too cold, and I think you do not get the really deep freezes that freeze deep into the ground ? ? I used to use a fish tank air pump years ago in the top pond, back then the ponds were smaller and I had lots of floating plants that summer, and thought I needed more oxygen and ran that for a summer or two. I still have extra air pump that is small, and maybe I will dig it out and just so I can see bubbles coming from the bottom. think that would look pretty with the underwater lights in the summer.

I have cheap one also from petco that worked ok but says it should not subjected to extreme temps .It has 4 outlets and came with everything and was less than 30 dollars .I am thinking of making an insulated house for it next year it is kinda large though. All the pumps in the pond are new this past year as is the aerator .I measured the aerator and been deciding what to build because I want it big enough for the U.V. also .This way everything is together
