Mine, too, Bob. Saw all of them couple of days ago, but tonight the temps are plummeting, going down to 10 degrees with wind chills close to or below zero. Brrrrrrr .... I guess we had it pretty good throughout December, and it is almost January ... I think I was secretly hoping the really cold stuff would pass me by this winter.

Yea, the temperature here in the Fort Wayne area is supposed to be in the middle to low teens tonight. Only a couple more month until it starts to warm up.

Well today is darn cold, like right now it is -20 C (-4F) and yesterday was much of the same. Took my sweet nephew out to the river to walk the dogs, and I had not even got out of the truck and he was back freezing!!

We got to 8 or so this morning. Went out to feed the horses, and turned on the outside hydrant to add water to the trough ... no go. Grrr ... my son built me this fantastic new well housing, and then I go and forget to plug in the heat lamps on the coldest day of the winter so far. Good news is this evening the water was all thawed out and running fine, and the pump is not cracked. Oh happy day! I said a little prayer to the Good Lord for watching over me once again.

Very crisp and clear out there, it's 22 right now. Not nearly as cold tomorrow, but looking for possibility of rain/freezing rain/snow on Fri. night into Sat. Glad I should be home from work before it starts!

The view is great but the skyscrapers I can live w/o. The city always feels so crowded and everyone is in such a hurry. I like the country life out here in the sticks. About froze to death coming home from my walk late this afternoon. Didn't get home till about 4:30 and the chill was really setting in. Lots of people out walking. One guy I know who also walks was driving by and stopped and asked me if I wanted a beer. No thank you, I would like to make it home in one piece and I don't like the taste of beer anyways. He had been to the store to pick some up for his football game.

I'm having a nice couple of brown bacardi rums with a slice of orange, crushed ice and coke (a thing I picked up on in Florida on my first ever visit to the US, I liked it so much I have it as the odd tipple).

I'm not normally a drinker nowadays so for the best part of the year we have coffee so only New years eve and our annual Xmas party for our friends that we inbibe in one or two

I might have what's left of a bottle of vodka mixed w/a bit of something fruity tasting. I have about 1/2" left in the bottle so that should do if for me to end the old year and welcome the new

Supposed to get up in the 50's the next couple of days and then close to 60 and 70 degrees .My fish are really confused .First pulled from there pond to clean all the stuff that got blown in it from the tree cutting and now this weather .Had to clean both filters also because of the junk and go get quilt batting to put in the crates .Stopped to get gas and saw logging truck headed down Axton RD and I know they have a sign up no trucks on the road because it is to narrow and curvy .Went to look and they are starting to cut trees there also .Asked and they are doing 380 acres there .I won't even take Axton rd to go to North Carolina and it is shorter route there but that road scares me .Took that route 2 times and never again .
