As of today I would say she is very close now to 5 pounds. She suddenly has been on a big growth spurt and her legs are much longer now. I think she could get as big as ten pounds, but hubby says she will get twice that. All I can say is that she is noticeably bigger than her sisters now.
And you are wondering why she is getting bigger with all you feed her and spoil her . Also bob I found great koi food that is all natural on pet solutions .com out of ohio -blackwater cool season 5lbs for 18.49 and if you keep it in a cool dry place it is good for awhile .They also sell summer food 14.99 for 5 lbs .I like it has all natural ingredients and none of the fillers and has krill in it which is great for koi .I bought the 5 lbs and I took half and my neighbor took half ,so we shared the cost .The fish will not produce as much waste with a better quality of food so there won't be as many water quality problems .No fillers in this food

Hey they Bob Huffman!! I don't believe we met? Nice to see you hanging out on weather thread!!

Well today is darn cold, like right now it is -20 C (-4F) and yesterday was much of the same. Took my sweet nephew out to the river to walk the dogs, and I had not even got out of the truck and he was back freezing!!

The weather in Northeast Indiana have been really nice for this time of the year (lows around 20 degrees F, and highs around 45 degrees F). The Koi are doing well so far this winter. I walk out everyday to check on them, and they are just chilling down near the bottom of the pond.
Mine, too, Bob. Saw all of them couple of days ago, but tonight the temps are plummeting, going down to 10 degrees with wind chills close to or below zero. Brrrrrrr .... I guess we had it pretty good throughout December, and it is almost January ... I think I was secretly hoping the really cold stuff would pass me by this winter. :)

Ha Ha Ha, little Rio has been peeing on her Pee Pads cause it has just been way too cold, but now it is warming up nicely and I am almost done fixing up the greenhouse so little Rio can have a Pee out there when it is really cold.

Right now we are up to 18 Fahrenheit (-8 Celsius) and tomorrow it will be almost up 30 Fahrenheit!! Now that I have the greenhouse plastic all back up it warms up really nice and I put a little bench and side table in there to have my coffee tomorrow. Still working on it so after tomorrow I should be all done and ready to reveal it again!

Never got below 28 last night .No ice on the pond yet and temp on the bottom of the pond is 45 .Gotta love that septic tank heat coming through the ground .Since I made it bigger I thought it would make the water cooler .

But,but, but where I my snow flurries. It's nice and cold enough for snow but we have no precip. That's the problem up here whenever we get cold it clears up to blue sky and sunshine.....................don't get me wrong I love the shine but I needs me flakes once in a awhile :)

Had an appt in Seattle yesterday and the place we were at had such good views I had to snap a few. The weather was bone chilling but clear and sunny. So many tall buildings tho you had to find the right spots to walk to catch the rays to keep you a little warmer while you walked.

View from the office

Had to take a pic of my old high school I went to. It's the big grey brick building between the 2 radio towers right at the base of the right tower. Now it's been turned into condo's. Good old Queen Anne High School.

Had to walk down to the Pike Place Market of course

And play w/the trains at the Macy's dept store window. Used to be the Bon Marche' when I was growing up. My little handprints were on that glass window many years ago making those trains run.
