Thank you, j.w. and Sissy. The rain stopped just as I was leaving to pick my sweety up, and we didn't get wet. Had a great meal, and the owner had a large bouquet of flowers on our (reserved) table, as well as a card. There was also a gift certificate from our son and D.I.L., which covered the cost of our meal. 42 years, and it seems like just yesterday!

a few pennies! I made 20 yrs with first hubby, then he passed. We are too ummmmmmmmmm well aged to make a ton of years with new hubby.

Hubby married me and I already owned my own house ,it was a fixer upper but it was mine .He was just getting out of the army when I meant him and he asked me the first night to marry him a year later we married and 2 boys and a few more fixer upper houses later and here we are ,RETIRED Addy you are lucky to have found a good man after all that as good men are hard to find .I don't know how you got through it all ,not sure how I would do it .You are stronger for it ,that's for sure

My husband and I have been married 18 years, or is it 1 year? We divorced for a year and remarried so I'm not sure where to count from.. Lol.
And Addy1, since you can't make the count of years, make the years count... (omg I need a tissue for that hallmark quote now).

Sissy You Got My SUN FLOWER!! Love It!!! I got mine this spring and I paid about 80 dollars for mine! I am scared to ask how much you paid for yours.... sounds like there is lots of good deals down there! If I ever go on a holiday and leave my home, I am coming down there and you and your sister can adopt me for a day and we can go shopping, have coffee, and you can show me all the good deals! ha ha ha

Going to see what is left at Golden Arces here in town, they are closing down and my good friend works there and she is "bummed out" so I will take her a coffee and visit and shop.

Nights are getting colder, the other day I had the heat on in the truck cause it was cold! Right now it is raining and only 10 Celsius (looks like 56 Fahrenhiet) Next week we get close to freezing....

We had a humdinger of a storm yesterday afternoon. The sky got dark, the wind was whipping the trees around like crazy and then the rains from Africa came down in bucket loads. Thunder and lightning and then the rain filled my pond up in 2 seconds flat! Then the sun came out for a few and then back to more rain. Never fear tho the sun is coming back today and it will be in the 80's again by Friday and it will be Africa HOT................

paid 25 dollars for the sunflower and he wanted 48 dollars .And hate to say this but I think every man is a fixer upper .We end up remaking them into what we want .Sorry men out there but you know in your heart of hearts it is true .OK

Snowing not to far from here, about 100 miles away there is snow by Lethbridge..... YUK! Winter is coming close now!

I wish I could say the same, Aaron, but her parents pulled her out of grade 9 to look after her younger siblings. She was 17 when we married.
