Hot here again today, but lower humidity made it much more bearable! I am leaving tomorrow afternoon, so wanted to make sure my landscaping and flowers got watered good. They said 40% chance of scattered t-storms, but sun was shining brightly, so went ahead and started watering. By the time I was 3/4 done, I heard rumble of thunder to the south. Appeared the storm was going to stay south, so continued until finished. Got everything watered, hoses put away, inside the house not 5 minutes before the storm hit here. Wind, heavy rain, and then light rain for an hour or so. The grass is happy! Can't have too much rain in August, IMO! My wells will recover quicker now, too, although I have good wells, no worry about running out. And, since it's free, except for the electric to run the pump, I love watering!

Arron things are all nice and sunny here, rained again this morning and the ponds are fine, fish are hapoy and unsuspecting of the danger lurking outside of their world! ha ha ha I have to work so hard these days at my job, everything is quicker, faster, harder, punch out and go back to work for free!! Seems like all around me the world is crumbling, my mom was ill and not feeling well so I had to take her to the emergency (where EBOLA warnings plastered on the doors) cause she fell and was dizzy, think she had the flu cause today she appears back to her old stubborn self, does not want a walker with a nice chair to rest like other old people, thinks she is fine walking around falling and stumbling...

ISIS people lurking all around me it seems, they discovered some in Calgary AB, not too far from me, good Christian boys raised in a nice home, well eductated, suddenly turned into ISIS Terrorist and fighting for them now. They were "lured" into joining ISIS by Somilias from Africa according ti the news this morning. Where I work there is a large group of "them" "maybe" who shop where I work, and now I look twice and wonder what "they" are doing here in Alberta....

and my shoulder is hurting from too much hard work lifting heavy boxes. Going to get coffee and soak up some sun and visit my friend at this greenhouse, everything 50 percent off... Shopping for garden junk takes my mind off the news. I hear that greenhouse may not be open next year... they just remodled the place not too long ago, but the wife ran off with a boyfriend that she had been seeing for 20 years and the hubby never suspected!!! Either did I, I alway's thought she was so "prim and proper" and she even had a weekly garden article in the local paper telling us how great a gardener she was, and giving weekly advice on the radio...

You never really know what people do behind closed doors and the saying the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence is not always true Colleen .There are scarey things in that lawn and scarier things behind that closed door ,so beware

Full core rain during the night and has finally stopped but I fear it will return shortly. We really did need it but I still don't have to like it. It's just that it plagues us for so much of the year...............oh boo hoo to me I know :p

No leaves changing here yet. I think all the rain we had the last week are keeping everything fresh. Made a nice dish for supper, and we sat outside just me and the hubby tonight sipping on wine for me, beer for hubby, and just starred at all my solar "space Man" lights! We listened to the radio and watched the lighting off to the north of us. Temperature is about 60 degrees right now. humid and looks like it may rain again by morning.
