Vegetarians can eat the butter and cream and eggs, but vegans will suffer!!! {cause they do not eat animal fats {that would be my vegan sisters} and now back to the weather!!

All is calm, it is currently 61 degrees at one in the early morning. I am awake and cannot sleep... thoughts turn to my 50 year old vegan sister who now eats mostly a high sugar diet and is going to have a baby very soon. I am worried and stressed for her. She has not gone to a doctor and the baby should come soon... Now she says she is going to have the baby in the woods like the wild animals! Her brain is now lacking healthy saturated fats, cause at one time when she was younger, and pregnant, she ate well and drank lots of goat milk and her brain worked a hole lot better!!! Back then we thought alike, and now she is in a total different world. She believes in fairies for real, and dresses like she is a teenager. I really hope all turns out well for her, but I am worried. Today I when I felt her belly, it was hard and I could not feel the baby move... not sure what is going on but she seems different somehow.... maybe it is just my imagination but I sure hope all goes well for her!

Preach it sister and tell it like it is, Amen! I eat lots of the yummy butter. Was never able to find the good lard here. Maybe I will save up my bacon grease.

Hope your sister and her baby are ok. When is she due? I am scared for her and that little baby.

I could just be over worried about her, my imagination goes wild and I worry cause she seems to eat lots of sugar now. I think the baby is coming soon, no one is sure when cause she has never seen a doctor. Vegans are in a different world than us, they think they are super human and that cause the eat a so called "clean diet" that death or sickness will not touch them, therefore doctors not required, and that is where the danger lies. She is going to be 51 years old in about 21 days, and having a baby at that age is a great risk alone! My husband works will lots of Mennonites and Hutterites, and they have babies sometimes that age, and they say about half of the babies die or are born very small or sickly....

Just noticed the little bitty frog in your trough pic, Mrs. Clem!
It got in the mid 80's again, storms blew through this afternoon, netted me half inch of rain, which I am thankful for! Tonight, temps going down to the 50's, so windows are open again and I'm loving the fresh air! Next few days highs only in the 70's, lows in the 50's. Woohoo!!!
I noticed the little frog after I posted it! Hadn't seen him before.
Watered all my plants on the deck yesterday and had the sprinklers running when a line of storms rolled thru. Had to wait for the rain to stop to turn off the sprinklers.
Will be out in the humidity today redoing some rearranging of cords at the ponds. ALL power to one pond and one of the stock tanks back flushed. The check valves I have on the bog and stock tanks are not working so out with the drill to put a small hole in the pipe.

Mitch you can buy "pure lard" down the baking section at any grocery store in Alberta, Safeway. Superstore, Co-Op, almost anywhere! ...

Which brand are you buying? My wife has been looking, but brands labeled as "pure lard" on the front of the package then turn out to contain preservatives, according to the fine print on the side of the package under the heading 'ingredients'. We usually shop at Co-op, and this has been the case with all of the brands carried there, including Crisco Lard, and Burns.

Thanks.

It's warm here and wish my pond waterfall was 10ft high so I could hang out underneath it right now.

Wow, 10' high? That's awesome!!!! Yes, I was IN my ponds last Sunday, grooming lilies and netting the bottom where I cannot reach from the sides. This morning, 56 outside, and my house was 63. Chilly, but I love it! Toes were cold this morning in flip flops. Temps in the 70's for highs through Sat., and I'm going to wedding on Sat. and plan to dance my feet off, so that's perfect weather for that! LOL Boyfriend is on motorcycle trip with his brother in WA they arrived there yesterday, JW, and he wants to drive that direction next year, so we will definitely be visiting you, and my brother on Bainbridge Island, too. We have the cools temps, you have the heat, JW. Next week, back to high 80's here, so I'm enjoying this week while I can. This is definitely NOT normal weather for July in south-central IL, that's for sure.

The key is I wish it were 10ft high as it's only a couple feet tall if that.

Boyfriend eh? You keep good secrets or did I miss something in your past posts? Oh boy looking forward to seeing you and him next year then CE :D
Nice hot weather again today but I hear the rain is coming back too soon for me :(

Awe! How nice that CE is coming to visit you JW!! Take pictures so we can all wish we were there too!!! :)

Weather is just beautiful, currently 72 degrees, flowers are blooming like crazy, and I am all excited to have this weekend off!!! Todays high expected to reach 89 degrees. Tonight and tomorrow we are forecast to have thunderstorms, need another good rain...

Going on Saturday to the downtown Chilli Cook-off, and taking the hubby cause we love to sample all the different styles of chilli they will have that day. All the local vendors make their own version of Chilli, some are even Vegetarian chilli too, so they will have something for everyone.
Sunday I am going to the local Garden Tour with my dear mother, we do that every year.

Yep that will be fun to see CE in real life! Would love to see all of you up close and personal.
You are a busy, busy person Colleen always on the go. Yum chili! Have lots of fun in the nice weather before it all disappears. Ours is nice and hot now too but rain on the horizon in few days. Oh well grass is turning brown and a good rain will green it up. Oh boy and a garden tour w/ your nice mom too :)

Mine says 80 but I don't believe that cuz it's 84 outside and the water is cooler feeling.

You think it could really be 80 in there tho addy? The gauge sits close to the surface of the water. That's only 4 degree difference between outside air and water temp. Just felt colder than 80. Did not feel like warm swim pool water to me.
