not even noon yet ..97* and full sun...not a cloud in sight...kind of a miserabley hot 4th of July...expected to be record setter here!...(record high temps..not anything good)..possible showers later this afternoon...mid 80s for this weekend! much better, not great but much better!
***For me the perfect climate would be 75* during the day. evening dropping to 68* till morning. a gentle shower every morning from 4am til 5am.
Totally agree with your perfect temps, Koiguy, but maybe getting down to about 55 at night would suit me just perfectly! I love to have the windows open, and at that temp, no bugs would be around, and I could snuggle under a thick comforter. LOL
My outside temperature says 107 and 40% humidity, and yes, it's in the shade on the north side of the house!!! Yikes! Keeps raising. I'm drinking a sum slush. Yummy! Gotta do something to keep me cool.

Was nice and sunny here today. We and all the neighbors who shot off fireworks spent some time this morning picking up all the blown up remnants. Got some much needed pruning in also. Sun still shining and supposed to for a couple weeks straight............think I'm in Heaven :luxlove:

We are still under a heat warning until Saturday. Des Moines which is about 10 miles away is under a pink alert for water usage. Can only water lawns every other day now. I haven't watered mine once. It's brown and crunchy.

That must suck big time! Well I would do lots of "zero scape landscaping" that's where you plant drought plants and decorate with mulch, rocks, etc... I have started a small patch out front, it's not total zero scape, but pretty close...
I also have lots of drought tolerate planters, there done with succulents and they are also in my hanging baskets. I will take more pictures tomorrow of all the different things I do with succulents in shallow clay dishes, there great for people who don't have time or water to water the hanging baskets everyday. :)

I cant recall the last time we had a decent rain here. Seems that when we do get rain it is spotty showers and only last a few minutes. I am watering my landscaping in the backyard as I type this and still hoping for a nice steady rain.....

JW send some rain our way will you...... :helm2:

Maybe she went on vacation and didn't want to tell anyone in case someone saw the post that she didn't want to. Her luck sucks sometimes and maybe she thought someone would rob her house. this is where my hypothesis is heading right now....
