That is just aweful to have snow in June!! Poor Mitch! Life is a struggle up there these days for the little garden plants :(. Hope the snow goes away soon! It is not that warm here today either, had to take a little sweater to the river today.

meanwhile, down by the river where the grass is long and green, and my Bear dog plays with a rock in the lush grass...

How far do you have to drive to that river Colleen? You are sure there a lot. Is it a swimming or boating river? Nice place to take the dogs for a romp.

Bear looked like he was shaking something to kill it. So funny it was a rock! Maybe he was cleaning the dirt and sod off of it for his Mommy! ;)
Well, I got totally embarrassed last night when I got home to see the bill for the AC repair. It said, "breaker was turned off. Turned breaker back on." What?????? I looked at ALL the breakers, they were all "ON"! So, goes to show, I should have flipped the 30 and 40 amp ones off and back on, to make sure they were all the way on. That was a $60 bill I shouldn't have had to pay. Darn darn darn, but very thankful I had honest repair man. He did a thorough check of everything else related to the AC, cleaned it, etc. So, I guess it was worth his trip. And, I'm pretty sure he left one of the breakers OFF, too! I turned it back on, but I'm certain they were all in the correct ON position. Live and learn ....
Oh, and today was a gorgeous 74 degrees, partly sunny, light breeze, tomorrow supposed to be a bit warmer, but I'm loving the cooler nights, down to about 60, which is perfect sleeping weather IMO.

JW I take the puppies there every day, it is about a five minute drive to the river, puppies enjoy it and I enjoy the peace and quite of the city noise.
CE, bad Bear gets a rock from down by the river, then he runs to the grassy area and lays it down and then rips out all the grass from around the rock, must have seen me do this out front, I gather rocks and lay them down to form a flower bed, and rip out the grass from around rock so rock can shine in the shine! ha ha ha

Mitch, it really sucks to be you, I see you have a weather warning, going down to below freezing tonight for you! Lots of central Alberta under frost warning!!!

You're in a valley Colleen, I thought you might get that low.

It's a beautiful day here today. Rain blew through, as I was driving home with gas for the mower, so the grass mowing will have to wait until tomorrow. Sun is back out, windy, so wind chimes are playing beautiful music outside. Lots of frogs on the ponds ... First pic with lily is on goldfish pond. This guy is pretty used to me, stays on that lily pad while I mess around and feed fish or pull weeks. The second pic is in the waterfall "pool", and there was a third just to the side of these two, but behind the mini cattails.

And now I have a young painted turtle. He's not afraid of me at all, and came right up for feeding time this morning with the koi.

Beautiful photos and every time I see a cute little turtle in someone's pond I want one in mine.

Nice day here today in the comfy 70's. I've been running a hose through quilt batting for over a week now! Sheesh it is taking forever. The stuff settles and the water clears but if I run a net across the bottom it stirs it all up and water is yucko again. Am I just being too obsessive?

Well I found out one big reason things were taking so long to clear up my pond water was the big rock that fell off the ledge long ago from the big roots of the Yellow Flag Iris was still on the bottom of the pond collecting all kinds of gunk around it and making it hard for the little pump going into the quilt batting to suck it all up. Sure thought I got that rock outta there a ways back but guess I didn't or else it grew back. Anyway it was such a nice day today up in the mid 70's that I thought what the heck I'll get my suit on and go rock diving. Got that sucker out and man it was heavy. There was a pile of gunk all down there where the rock was sitting. Netted a bunch out and now more sucking up from the pump to the quilt batting. Got a nice big fat rock now to play with
