Same thing happened here right now, a cloud just showed up and rained in me while I was outside cleaning filters in bottom pond. Sister coming over and we are going to sit outside in my Gazebo and have some fresh coffee that I am brewing right now! That should get Sissy excited! mmmmm fresh ground roasted coffee, dark roast, just roasted last week from the little roastery downtown! :D:hilarious:

Got sunny here at around 1pm or so and now it's nice and 68f. Where is sissy anyways? Must have went on one of her buying trips where she finds and brings home all the good stuff she finds :)
How is your sister doing Colleen? About read to pop?

Really nice today. Sunny without being hot. Just lovely. I remember yesterday when I was working on the pond with my son, a purple hummingbird came up to us within 2 feet and just hovered there. So beautiful. It did that twice. I wonder what it was thinking.

By the way, I'm gonna suggest that j.w. change her avatar again. It's a shock to the system every time I see it. Dunno, maybe just not used to ladies with double handlebar 'stache and an evil grin!

A very hot and humid 87 today. Storms this evening. Nothing severe. Those may be tomorrow night.

Planted some green peppers today and a couple more tomatoe plants in the garden. We have had mid 80s all week and pond has gone murky again.
Full sun all day and lilies are just getting going, so not any shade.

Hey, Sir John, do you have your hummingbird feeder up yet? If not, that hummer was likely trying to convince you to put it up, because he needs some sugar water NOW! ;)
Yeah, seeing JW with a mustache and sunglasses is a little freaky. I think she's hiding from the Feds!

I am not too sure when my older 50 year old sister is going to have that baby, cause she still has not gone to doctor!! Her older daughter is going to deliver the baby, and she says that it is coming in July now. She is getting a little bigger but it she is still small for a woman who is going to have a baby next month... I sure hope all is well, cause I cannot force her to go to doctor. She says she is not going to have conventional toys, cause the earth and yard is better toy than real toys, like we used to do when we were kids, we had very little toys so we had to make our own fun, and explore the yard and stuff. Then she is not going to have a crib, cause the baby is going to sleep with her, and she is going to carry baby in a sling thing that lots of people are using now these days. Her and the boyfriend are not together and she is mad at him now cause he would not say Happy Mothers Day to her. She has been working hard in her yard and has her little pond running again, with just little baby fish this time. She planted a garden and seems to be happy, I am glad she will have her older kids there to help out... that is all I know for now!

QUOTE="j.w, post: 225580, member: 2221"]I already posted somewhere on here that I need to find another pic cuz this one still reveals too much of the real me. Give me few days to prepare my new identity :droid:[/QUOTE]
Fwiw, j.w., your new avatar scares the hell out of me! There's a
'bag lady' that walks up and down the streets in a nearby city, and I swear she looks JUST LIKE THAT!!!

Very windy today, cooler at about 73, but probably going to need to shut all windows. Looking for isolated thunderstorms, and on Fri. a very windy and rainy storm blew through, broke off another branch from my "stump tree", and had water standing on kitchen/dining room vinyl floor 15' from the door! Glad I had rugs there to soak it up so it didn't get under the flooring, and SUPER glad I had not put in wood floors there! Guess would have to be extra careful if I ever put in any wood floors. Here's the tree branch pics. Wasn't it kind to have fallen on nothing but grass?! ;)

Wow I think I'd cut that tree down but leave part of the tall trunk up and put some kind of plants in a pot that hangs down on top of it. Or you could grow a vining type up it. Glad it didn't fall in the pond!

CE, your yard is looking really good, except for the broken tree, now you will have to chop it up and have a free fire wood! Good thing you were not standing there while it happened!!

We had a little storm come rumbling in tonight while I was at work, hubby was home tonight thank goodness, to comfort my little Poppy, as she is scared of things that go boom in the night!

We finally got some nice weather here the last few days. It was high 70's today. It rained a little in the morning and then cleared up. My floating plants are starting to multiply and my string algae has gone away.

spawning last night, the big underwater light was moved to other end of pond and big stick that I keep there to prevent them from jumping out, was knocked off ledge. Lots of stuff was falling in pond from Choke Cherry tree, so cleaned skimmer and catch nets good. Weather is perfect for growing things, everything looking good!

Great pictures Colleen, I especially like the first one. Awesome shot of your big koi coming up out of the water. Is that what they do when they want food? :D We were at the pet store last weekend and the hubby is looking at koi. I said don't even think about it. We don't have a big enough pond for those fish! I told him when we get the next one we will be sure to make it big enough for koi lol

It's breezy and warm here. Fish were very active this morning. Plants are all growing :)
