Bull crap, 50 mile an hour winds again today, storm clouds, the temp dropped 30 degrees, sprikled for 20 minutes. Mother nature is starting to piss me off. Quit teasing me already.

I think Friday parts of the Fort had winds up to 95mph! It was crazy, tons of people still don't have power, especially downtown. We were really lucky to only have ours go out for a couple hours and then come back on! Now its right back to smoldering hot outside!

Wow, I guess we were lucky to not have any power outages. It's cold as hell in Logansport right now, can't be more than 65.

Yep sissy must be w/o power and bet she'll have some stories to tell. I know she was busy working on her pond amongst everything else she does all the time. I do hope she's ok!

Your storms are just scary down there! Hope everyone is well, and there gardens too! If worst case and lots of broken trees and damage to plants, we have all had it at one time or another, I remember a nasty spring storm one year that left me with a broken tree in my top pond! Had hail too one year so bad that everything was covered in white and smashed to the ground, left me real depressed, but was later amazed how quick everything started to regrow. Things happen, life is a constant struggle sometimes......

We just talked to someone with a brother in ohio, he was told it could be weeks before they get power again.

from the net

Around 2 million customers from North Carolina to New Jersey and as far west as Illinois were without power Monday morning. And utility officials said the power would likely be out for several more days. Since Friday, severe weather has been blamed for at least 18 deaths, most from trees falling on homes and cars.

That doesn't sound good at all. Hope a lot of those people have generators. Hope they can get the power back sooner than they think. That storm was a bad one and hope no more are on the way!

We finally got rain this afternoon...rain, glorious, wet rain! Rained for about 1 hr. and it looks like more is coming. Temps went from 102* to 82*. I moved some of my plants out from under the mesh canopy to full sky to get a good soaking. I have been using the water from rinsing out my quilt batting to give them each drink now and then, so this will help them. Rain....wanted to do a nekked rain dance, but knees would not let me! RAIN!!!! Woo hoo!!!
