104 today, 105 expected tomorrow then cools off to 101 on Sunday. :) I transferred more hyacinths to the small pond for extra shade but still had to add cool water to keep the temp lower, poor fish.

Bah, huge black clouds rolled in today at 3pm, the temp dropped 20 degrees in 5 minutes, the wind kicked up to 75mph, and it finally rained after all of that cleared up...for about 10 minutes. Wasn't even heavy rain. I got home and my deck was dry. Pathetic.

It was just a lovely day today, nice and warm in the afternnoon, maybe almost to warm, had to run air conditioner on for first time, maybe it was the humidity that made it seem hotter, cause right now its 75 degrees. I have been very busy in the front yard, fixing the front sidewalk blocks that run to the house, boy are they every heavy!!! Had to use pea gravel from sandbags left over from last years almost creek flood, to level my blocks to the street sidewalk that was just repaired. Will take pictures when everything done. :)

Koi guy, your posts are very funny, been real busy and tired.... :)

wow glad that nasty friday storm didn't hit us as bad as baltimore, dc area. There are around few million plus without power, still, roofs off, trees down, winds of 90 mph winds, no traffic lights, water station down, strict water restrictions in force. People where killed during the storm.

We had power blimps at our house, but our power is on, last read wind speed of around 50, one large cell hit us but it looked like the 14 I counted on the noaa map joined force together and smacked the baltimore dc area. They are shutting down the gov, no traffic lights, unreal.

This is the friday storm that we watched hit our house in maryland, declared federal emergency.

hope all in the area are ok.
