I just bought a new Dell w/ windows 7 and I love how fast it is and you are right sissy it is sinfully fast. I went on my old xp one after using the new one and thought I would die of boredom waiting for it to do anything.

Today the sun is winning over the clouds and no fog either. It's still a bit chilly at 32f now but whenever it warms up a bit I'll head outside for a nice long walk. Been sore for a few days tho as I found some nice rocks and took my back pack one day and loaded them all up. So heavy it bruised my backside and ripped the seams out on the pack a little. Carried those suckers 3 miles which is half my walk. Why can't I ever find rocks closer to home? Maybe I should put up flyers

The last three days have been sunny :). Reached a high of 42 today and the extended forecast for next week are day time highs in the low 40's and the night temps in the low 30's. No ice on my pond for over a month all my fish are accounted for and look good.

oh well everyone pack there bags move there ponds down this way then ,at least you won't be in total temp. shock
Very tempting, Sissy! Just pulled another koi out of the pond. Five so far! Not a mark on any of them, except for blood around the gills. This will be my last attempt at keeping koi; I just can't afford it from an emotional standpoint! Maybe I'll just fill the pond in and call it quits. :disappointed_anim:

There are about six goldfish in the pond, all were too small for me to notice when I was cleaning it out. Not ONE of them has succumbed to the cold, or whatever is killing my koi!

No, no, no, John. Goldfish only.
That's what I'm doing.
I haven't lost a single one outside. Plus those shubunkins can get pretty big.
I might keep koi inside in my hydroponics setup.

sorry haro to hear I wonder if it is lack of oxygen .Sounds like it .I know the bigger koi get the more they need ,That is why I use a hose squirting water over the top of the pond to help .It can be really hard when you loose fish .If they have lived this long seems it could not be the weather that much .Maybe they less tolerance to cold as they get older like us .
