It was 37 here this morning when I drove to town, got great deals on Rural King 75% off all Christmas stuff! Especially solar LED lights at $5 each! I love solar lights, call myself the solar queen. LOL Rain as of 11 a.m., 1.5" so far, been raining steadily all morning. We shall see how close their prediction of 2-4" of rain gets, but pretty sure we're going to surpass the lower end! Ponds are both full and overflowing as designed. Never seen the koi pond this full, it may be overflowing all along the one end if the rains keep us as they are. Need to increase the overflow rate, I guess. Goldfish swimming around, all ice gone. Temp was 35 when I got home, so staying home rest of the weekend, not going to chance any of this moisture turning into freezing stuff!

Still looks like this here John. You must be in a lower or warmer area than we are. We are about 330ft above sea level here. First day of winter picture:

70 here today. Great for doing the last minute shopping. Windows open and hawk circling pond but netting is still up. So is the canopy on the deck! Why couldn't it be like this when hubby had a week off to do decorating? Still doing last minute tweeking on decorations even tho judging is over. Bought all new ornaments for inside tree for next year- 70%off at Michaels! May go out and start cutting firewood from trees cut down 2 years ago tomorrow. Have a lot of gifts to wrap and have to hide everything tonight.

Just me and hubby and the cats! should have just left everything in the truck! Hate to spend a 70+ degree day wrapping presents! Won't be stacking firewood. did that yesterday and still not done but hit my hand on countertop and think I may have broke it. Hubby says no (30+ years paramedic) but hurts like he**. Fish are out , water lilies 2" from surface and all spring bulbs up! Where is winter? Don't want it but know it is coming!

Well guess that makes it easier to find the right prezzie's. The cats will just head for the ones that smell like catnip or fish. Just go outside and have fun and wrap your stuff at night. Sorry you got an owie to your hand. Put some ice on it and take it easy. See now you get out of wrapping, stacking, and cooking too! Hubby has to take care of you and all the work too. Don't get well too quick tho or you'll be back to work to soon. Sit out by the pond and have a nice cool Summer drink and don't forget to say every once in awhile "Oh ouch that sure hurts when I move it" lol!
