Please have good thoughts and prayers for my dear Cathy. She is sick with the crude (cold, chest congestion, so forth). Family doctor prescribed the cure yet she needs our support to ensure she is well for our Christmas Eve trip to celebrate our Christ's birth with our children and their families. So love to see the sparkle in our grandchildren's eyes! :)

So sorry Mitch.

I don't like driving in bad weather conditions, but sad to say, most employers where I have worked in the past want you there good roads or not. My last place of employment had some people leaving for work 3 hrs early to get there on time. I'm not that dedicated I guess. I know they won't pay to replace my jeep if it got totaled in an accident while driving on snow covered roads, so if the roads were bad enough to get a snow plow stuck, its bad enough for me to turn my happy butt around and go back home. My new job, wow....they just tell us to use caution and get there if we can. I live in town, so it shouldn't be too bad for me this year and years to come. The work will still be there the next day if we can't make it into work due to the weather.

68 degrees today and love the warm weather but hate that trees have buds on them .Something chewed the wire on my pond pump , I used heat shrink on it and taped it up but worried about it since I saw damage to the ground wire .Checked all the other wires and no damage to them .

Everyone get better for the Holidays!!! I agree with Haver, if the roads are bad, slick, I take the back roads, just not when drifting. When I didn't have the choice of taking interstate, I ALWAYS opted for more back roads. Stupid people drove the 2 lane highway, passed you when it was totally covered and packed with snow. I enjoyed seeing a young whipper snapper zoom pass me in his 2WD Chevy S-10 one year on country road, thought my rear wheel drive Astro van was going far too slow, only to go "poof" about a mile ahead of us, nose first into a steep ditch, with sharp hill after ditch! Needless to say, when I stopped and asked him if he wanted a ride, his red face said, "no, I have someone coming". I just smiled and drove on ... slowly! I agree, if I'm going to hit the ditch, I want it to be in slow motion, no air bags going off.

Well headed up to 60's again and noticed yesterday some of my bulbs I planted are sprouting ,darn it .I have to go get a truckload of mulch again to finish the garden by the driveway .I had to extend the garden farther up the hill so the lawn mower did not have to go down there .To dangerous .I planted cannas and bulbs there and did not have enough mulch .Finished the lighting I was doing outside .Nice weather to do it but it also is going to cause lots of problems too .

Must be nice down there to still be out doing yard work Sissy! :blueflower: No wonder you are always ready for spring it seems, you start before Christmas! he he he

Come on in Sissy, lets have coffee by my Christmas tree, I got a nice fresh Balsom tree on sale for only 6 dollars yesterday!!! Now it is finally up and defrosted, oh how it is smelling so good! I got a nice fresh baked Christmas Stollen too that we can snack on with our coffee too! :coffeemug: :claphands: JW I can make you a hot Chocolate!!

I put up new red and white curtains on the window and hung small lights behind the curtains so they will look nice. I just have a few more things to put up on the tree and a few big balls to hang up high from the ceiling and then when hubby comes home the house will be all nice for Christmas!

Weather still sucks and it is still cold, pond has lots of ice too, right now the bad puppies are out barking their heads off outside, 8 degrees Fahrenheit right now, but long term forecast looks better for Christmas, might get above freezing!! :cold:
