BURRRRRRRRRRRRRR we are a warm 34 right now. That is unreal cold

You're lucky this artic cold front hasn't reached you yet addy. It's a big one.
All the way down to the Mexico border.

The cold does fell unreal!! The breather holes are quite small right now, but the three connecting ponds are still running under the ice. The water spillways have frozen over completely now with a thick ice shell, but under the ice I hear the water gurgling nicely. The bottom pond has a thick ice shell but near the spllway their is a small breather hole about the size of a mouse hole!
The top and bottom ponds have larger rather holes, but ponds are about 95% covered in ice now....

"Hubby will just replace the cord when he get to "today's coldest spot on the earth" ... Brooks Alberta -42c
This happened with his old car too, and he did the same thing. The cord was tucked under the hood somehow stuck and hubby must has yanked it too hard and it just became so brittle it snapped right off!!

It is currenty -3 Fahrenheit in TUKTOYAKTUK, North West Territories!! They are warmer than us at the NORTH POLE!!!

Hubby now driving one hour away to Brooks Alberta!! Current ambient temperature in Brooks before windchill is -44 Fahrenheit!! That is Minus 42 Celsius,!! He has candles, propane heater, extra clothes, blankets, and food with him as part of his emergency roadside kit.

The dog door freezes open at this temperature, so I had to block the door.
The dogs are not too pleased with me right now.
