62 at 5 am, they are saying 42 at 5 pm, monday we get the cold you all are having we dive in the high 20's during the day

I heard tree frogs chirping this am while out in the hot tub................

Pool Party over here!! Woo Hoo!! Only a bleeping -24 Fahrenheit (-31c)!! Coldest day in only two years!! The heater in pond has cut large breather holes in ice so it should be like a "hot tub" compared to the fridget bone chilling north pole air!!! Poppy sniffed the air and did not want to go out to make "yellow snow" so I had to help her out the door and then she ran back in in two short minutes!!!

My little one runs out, spins around and runs back in, I have to "drag" her out, the one time there is no playing sniffing goofing off, it is a quick potty break! real quick.

She is better if it is just cold, pouring rain makes her stop in her tracks. She has not seen snow yet, will be fun to see what she does, we might get snow sunday/monday

We have a dog door that leads to a gravel fenced area. Our dogs will go out and sleep on the deck in this weather if they have their full coat.
We got them cut recently so they're not so keen to stay outside, just go out and bark for a while if there's a deer in the yard.

They've issued weather warnings for our area today. Wind chills are below -40 in some areas.
I really hope all the homeless have found safe places to stay.

At 4 AM this morning, Manning, Alberta, which is 8 hours north of me is the coldest place on Earth. -39.8C wind chill -52.

19F and snowing hard. We just had a blast playing out in the snow. My dog didn't want to come in even after her beard froze.

Colleen, we're not quite as cold as you yet. But its wanting to head that way -_-
Its 28° right now and the snow storm started this morning early, after a night of freezing rain. Temp is to be 14° by morning and the snow is not supposed to stop for 3 days!
So much for Christmas shopping this weekend, blehh!
The piggy? I had to shove him out the door this morning! Couldnt even bribe him with a cracker! Lol! Try pushing a 200lb pig out side when he doesnt wanna go! Haha
Hope the fishies are all settled in down there, cause there is just a small hole on top now and cant see them.

This will be my puddles first winter here so not sure how he will be ,but sure know he will not go out in the rain and he will not go outside by himself for some reason .If he barks by the door he knows that pee wee and King Arthur will go out to look and then he trots out to pee .Safety in numbers I guess . :cheerful: It is already close to 70 degrees outside .My telephone company is offering a smart house upgrade to my system and all the components are free as long as I keep there service for a year and monitoring is 34 dollars a month .It monitors all your electric uses and you have access to all your homes systems and a new thermostat and even tells you when there is a problem and where the problem is .Tells you how much electric is being used in your house and by what so you will know what may be a problem .It all can be monitored from your puter or smart phone .Already called so they can send me all the info .

It came from century link .I like the idea as at least if there is a problem with the heat pump or anything else it will tell me it needs serviced .I would have loved this last year when my heat pump had problems and the year before when my well pump went out .My house is all electric since there are no other utilities out here but propane tanks .

well sun came out and I so far managed to get 400 ft of low voltage wire in and another 400 ft to go but hubby needs lunch I need to cool off it is hot out .I also have to put together all the led lights .Need coffee . :coffeemug: Says 78 degrees outside and magnolia has blossoms on it and buds on the trees .Says 52 degrees for tomorrow

Only supposed to get up to 32F here today and then down to 7F tonight. What is going on here? And my dear hubby now wants me to do for a walk out in the fake sunshine that still provides no warmth whatsoever
