CE How cold are you expect to get down to when the cold front get's there??

Oh, never mind, I will just look up your weather on my handy dandy phone... I see your in for rain and snow mix Wed and Thurs and by Friday you will be in the "deep freezer" too! Ha ha ha. actually your low for Friday night looks like 16 degrees,my low for Friday is -22 degrees!!

When the roads first ice ice up it can be bad but up here we don't have as much traffic on the roads as down south, never been down there, how many people live in Effingham?

OK, so I see you live in a little town of 1200! Up here in Medicine Hat we have a population of about 60 thousand I think....

I think Effingham has about 18,000, so not too many, not a large metropolis. Altamont has only about 1400, yes, and I'm in the country, so we have about .... 50 people in a 5 square mile area. LOL But, in any city, when you get snow and ice the first time of the year, everyone forgets to be careful. I tend to stick to the country roads, where they have not been plowed as much, but where there are far less cars traveling to hit me! And, the more the roads get driven on if we do get ice, the worse they will get, plows or no plows. My parents grew up in Wisconsin, so they taught all us kids how to drive on snow and ice. I'm a very cautious driver, but don't drive 15 mph either.

Well you better get that truck out cause I see nasty cold wet icy weather in your forecast. It is not so bad here to drive cause most people drive slow and the snow on the roads slows you down lots too.

Cold, low of 9F tonight and a high of only 11F tomorrow. Bitter cold tomorrow night, low of -1F. BRRRR.
Mitch our vehicles use to look like yours until we built a shop and carport two years ago. Can't believe we didn't at least build the carport years ago, it didnt cost that much to build. We put walls on three sides which protects the vehicles more and it is so nice to go out and get in the car with no snow and ice on the windows .

Reporting in at Zero degrees somewhere near the North pole, Mrs Claus fell asleep on the coach after a hard night working on the lights and playing with the new raindeer outside. Nothing like ice cold weather to put you into a deep slumber....

I see you are up bright and early on the East Coast Addy! I am going back to bed soon, cause it is only 4am here. Having a glass of wine cause my neck and shoulder a little stiff from shoveling too much snow I think. Supposed to be real cold tomorrow....

bad habit lol, always up early, sleep early. Long time work habits and honey gets up early to head to work.

He had NINE days of driving to work left! officially retired as of 1/3/14 using up some sick leave, then has to go back on the 2 and 3 to officially leave the government!

They say winter mix coming on monday we will see, maybe maybe not lol

make sure it is red wine, good for you heart, blood sugars and mind

It is kind if sad when you have to retire after working so hard for your whole life, while it will be relaxing, I am very sure he will miss it lots too. It is like leaving and starting a whole new life and it will take time to adjust to not working after so many years....

Actually we're living in the garage/workshop for now mtpond.
Hopefully have the home built in the next couple of years.
