Wet, cold, and starting to snow off and on in between the rain. Had to work very hard again today, working extra hours these days so I have not had lots of time to post too much. Going to bed early, must set the clock back one hour tonight, (daylight saving time) so I get to sleep in a extra hour!! :)

Sissy, your land is very beautiful, must be like heaven for sure!! :)

CE only Apple juice and oj,no good stuff. A tranquilizer would have been nice for the ride there and back. They had all kinds of other things to eat like muffins, fruit etc. They also gave away all kinds of junk to put in a bag like those bag clip things, tooth paste, tooth brushes and lots more.
We sat at a table near the blood lady w/ the flapping arms and watched her do other people after me and it was a riot watching as she did that same thing to every person she sucked blood from. Never even gave them any warning before she started doing it. No other blood suckers did that flapping deal.

Lou nope we have a propane furnace but we never use it. Saves us a lot of money getting free wood here and there.

ce they come back but I wanted more and sometimes moles and stuff get some .Plus where I put the new canna and elephant ear garden i wanted lots of tulips to come up first .I know they will multiply but I don't want to wait .Hate to say colleen but land can be a curse too .Lots of work .I just wish the grass would grow better but no matter how much lime I add the soil is still acidic since all that grew here was pines for years this is what I am left with .

I have given up on grass, if it grows it grows. Now putting in a bunch of dutch white clover, low growing (4 inches or so) fantastic nectar producer, for the bees. So now I will only mow at 4.5 inches or so, keep the clover growing great. clover is supposed to grow, dry, yucky soil, wet whatever. We have horrible soil, dirt then a layer of rocks.

How about posting a closeup photo of your soil.

Sun coming out right now here...................JOY TO THE WORLD! No rain, no wind just clouds parting and sun trying to win out. Is chilly tho at about 40. Oh I am looking at the weather for tonight and down to 29 predicted. Mitch I am freezing looking at your snow pix but your green house looks nice and toasty in there. Hope you have a nice place set up in there to sit and sip your tea or coffee while you enjoy all your nice plants.

this is what we got digging out for the propane tank, there is about 1 inch of dirt than layered rocks. We don't water grass, too much of it to mess with, if it grows it grows.
the back field has the best grass and a mix of clover, (where the septic field is)
