It's drizzling ever so slightly, the air is cool and smells rainy and foresty. The fish are still hungry. On these days, I always wonder what it was like to be a native America a few hundred years ago. No toasty home with furnace. No TV or internet. Just woods, water and wetness...

Well so far all next week in the high 70's and low 80's but no rain forecasted .I would like more rain so the soil is easier to dig for the garden around the pond .I have to plant my bananas and verbena

Awe Sissy, just saw that little Pee Wee Porky chop, he sure is cute! Poor guy, all caught in the screen, waiting for mommy to save his sorry little butt, and he does look sorry with the big eyes....

Well had our first light frost last night, no damage, cover the delicate stuff up and moved some succlents back into the greenhouse for winter is coming!! Had to have the heater on last night to take the chill out of the air.

The stoned madness has started in the front yard now, got larger flat stones to cobble a path in the front yard now. I selected the larger stones cause I can lay them flat in the grass and the larger stones won't drown out in the grass. Then I can cut the grass and run over the edges of flat stones and everything will work out great.... but now I am having visions of stone cobbled pathways everywhere!! What the heck, the stones are free and I can get very happy getting stoned outside! Ha ha ha ha. :)

Sissy, I, too, would love a good soaking rain! I wish I had kept track, but thinking I have not had more than 1.5" since first week in July! Right now, I think my ground could easily soak up 2" if it didn't come down all at once. I have so many plants to thin or move or give away, but no way can I dig them up. It would be like digging up a chunk of concrete, and the plants roots would just break off and the plant will die. So, I keep watering the plants I have in pots, sooner or later I will get them planted. Thinking I will have a new area to plant lilies and/or irises ... around the new well housing my son is building for me! :blueflower: Course, not going to tell him how happy I am to have another new area to plant some of my extra stuff around! This weekend he's hoping to get the siding put on it, but now has to work tonight until 6 a.m., so won't get to come until Sunday. We shall see ... but he has done a fantastic job on framing and has the roof on!

Ha ha ha, look at my secret "endless supply" rock pile, and it's all mine, MiNE! hA hA HA! picked rocks till the sun when down. I got a new supply of larger round cobbling stones, just unloaded them tonight, going to work them over in the dark, cause I am a addicted rock-a-holic and must get my fix by pounding them into the ground at once!

The weather is not to bad, at around 60 degrees.... going to get a glass of dark red wine and sip on it while I get the stoned feeling .... awe, no feeling, no stiff puffy joints, no pain! Hey wHaT did you tHinK I was talking about?? Ha ha ha, Doctor Gifford Jones says " Cabernet Sauvignon, dark red wine, is a good anti inflammatory!! Helps me get the stoned feeling while pounding stones into the ground! He he he. :)
