Pouring, pouring, pouring rain! Grass is loving this rain and mild temps. Just mowed and now looking like it is going to need it again sooner than ever. Everything is so green and pretty but I still miss Mr Sunshine. They say he will be back tomorrow and Thursday for a brief visit. I plan on driving up to visit my sister for that lovely sunny Thursday :cheerful:
Sand down now but may need more and might throw a bunch of little gravel bits in the mix too just to give it a more natural look.

Look outside again! It's overcast on one side but sunny on the other! A little bit nippy but it's beautiful!

Wow JW your cobble is looking just great with the sand. Nights are getting cold so no sleeping with windows open here or I will have to turn furnace on soon!

Sissy, I will have all the lights turned on the garden and landing spot all picked out, just look for little red lights and candles glowing!
So get that broom all tuned up and ready to go! He he he :)

Thanks Colleen I thought I might add a little gravel here and there also just to maybe kind of keep the sand in place, stomp it down good.

John it did stop raining here for the moment and I am starting to see the clouds part w/ tiny bits of blue poking through. You I think are farther south than I am and maybe you will send the good stuff our way soon. Going to be in the 40's for tonight, better than the 30's some people are already getting tho.

Made it through my walk and got some weeding done and now the rains are back again. No stinkers here but a darn fly was trying to get our steaks we have marinating on the counter. I've been trying to catch him for 2 days now and HAH I just did! Out the door he went!
Gonna see if I can swallow the steak pieces now that the G.I doc stretched my esophagus. So far everything else I can eat w/o choking now.

No stink bugs here, I just realized, and never have seen any of them since I moved. Another plus for living in the middle of corn/bean fields! I think all the insecticides used on the crops also kills the grubs and bugs like that. I'm glad I have my farm pond, as it must have kept dragonflies healthy all these years, and then they came to my little backyard ponds.
Weather is simply gorgeous here, but I know there will come a time I will be complaining it is cold or rainy or snowy, but for now, it's just wonderful! I sure wish I could share it with those of you with colder nights. My bedroom windows get left open all night, but I love sleeping with it really chilly, maybe 55-60 believe it or now, and snuggle under the covers! My AC bill is probably higher than my heat bill, just because of that!

Just wrote a riveting diatribe about my latest frustrations only to have our iPad suddenly go into a momentary coma as I was about ready to post. Of course when consciousness returned the worm in this apple had wiped out 40 minutes of writing. Maybe it was for the best. Very tired. Time to go to sleep now.

Goodnight.

Woke up to a typical Fall weather morning here in Seattle. Overcast, cold, wet on the ground, not raining yet but will.
