Then go with the thick white edge, sometimes you just have to hold the frame up on the wall to see how it looks. If everybody says go with the thin white, then maybe consider the thick white edge as that will make more of a statement and stand out nice... just a confusing thought.... ha ha ha

Nice day today, currently 66 degrees and partly cloudy. This morning I partipated in a "shore line cleanup", down by the creek. I found many strange items, old pair of shoes, back pack, dirty boys underwear, and a Walmart shopping cart!! After the cleanup, we had a nice BBQ lunch down at the park!

After spending over half a day carring me here and there Cathy saws it looks good and for me to stop worrying. I can't really blame her. We also spent all day a week ago Saturday getting the first three entries printed and frame. As you well know, working hard all week leaves you little time to rest up. She is my hero!

Absolute gorgeous day!! Doing some piddling around the ponds and yard work. Yesterday!! Hubby and I went down to the River bank and took advantage of the river having been really low this year! We got some HUGE flat rocks that I'm hoping will will work for the sandstone patio I want to put in this fall. Have I ever mentioned I LOVE LOVE LOVE Free rock?!?!! :p

Right now we have a low of 49 F and only hitting a high of 60 F today. I can't believe how fast the weather went from really warm to down right chilly. The rest of the week doesn't look much better then that, both daytime temps and night time temps are dropping. Bottom of the pond temp was 55 F last night :(.

My pond has chilled off quite a bit now too. Time to quit feeding them and make them eat the pond greens. Hardly any trees turning yellow yet, weather has been nice for this time of the year.

Currently only 48 degrees at 6 am in this early morning. Should reach a high of 63 degrees today.

Sunrise not till 710am and Sunset is at 720pm today.

Had another gorgeous weekend, and it looks like this week more of the same temps - 78 for high and 55 for low, and sunny. It does NOT get any better than that! I'll take each and every one of these and quit complaining about no rain, because sooner or later it WILL rain, and for now, the farmers are picking corn and combining beans, so they are hoping for dry weather. I did get just under .5" of rain last Fri. I'm sure areas close to me got well over an inch, but I'm happy with what I got. No watering all weekend, and going to let the potted petunias finish dying off, as they are mostly dead now anyhow, I think due to spraying by planes, but not positive. They all took a big hit, almost dying overnight, well over a month ago, and can't help but wonder if that is what happened. I'll watch them closely next year, and cover half of them when they spray the fields, and see if they fare better! Happy fall to everyone!!! Fish are still VERY active, although water temps are dropping with these low evening temps. Yesterday a.m. it was high 40's, but quickly warmed up to 78. I'm loving it ... :blueflower:

It is cool here at night and have not used the air ,no need .Got my electric bill and it was 87 dollars and change so not bad .Still would like to try solar but can't find 1 company that will listen that I want it on grid and don't need it to cover all my electric just cut the bill down .The guy who had done my neighbors did a great job back in 2007 and only cost them a thousand dollars for on grid system and there electric bill a month is about 30 dollars or lower and if they used more energy efficient stuff it probably would be lower ..But sad to say he passed away in 2009 .He was an independent dealer and installer .

I applaud your enthusiasm for green energy. When considering supplemental solar power I urge you to consider all associated costs, licences, including any impact on your home owners insurance and most importantly the pay back time frame. Your current power supplier may have existing policies in place regarding your use of solar power. Just be sure that what you do will actually safe you money in a reasonable amount of time. :)

I checked all that out that's why I wanted it to be minimal cost to change to solar .Here they are trying to make more people understand energy costs and supply and help you by giving you rebates on everything you buy that saves energy .I got rebates back on all my new appliances and insulation from Danville utilities .I am dissapointed in fishmate and pet mountain as this pump seems unreturnable unless I pay to send it to Texas for fishmate to look at it and decide if it is not working right and then I have to pay to have it sent back to me wether it is a new one or the old one .I don't think I will be buying from pet mountain again and sure will never buy a fishmate product again .I will buy locally from now on when it comes to stuff like this .I guess I learned my lesson .Never trust what they say .Lou I have triple pane windows with the low e and they are well worth the cost .I have double hung so I can clean both panes from the inside .I hate dirty windows and then you get rebates from uncle sam and here we get rebates from our utility company .So check for all rebates on them
