Maria - typically I too would be working, but I have been out on short term disability. At least it is decent out, so I can enjoy the weather. You are welcome to come to breakfast! I have a friend coming and she is moving, so it should be fun to see her before she moves.

I was out on short term disability a few summers ago. It was the first time I was actually home during the day in years. Once I was feeling better it was actually kinda nice. I hope you are feeling better soon and back to normal.

Should be nice to visit with your friend before she moves.

Maria - this is the first I have been off for any extended period of time in the last 24 years. I am enjoying it, thank you. I broke my foot which is forcing me to take it easy. Probably not a bad thing.

I sure wish some of those thunderstorms would hit south central IL! I have not had a good rain ... more than .2" ... for over a month, and things are really getting dry here. I have a new landscaping project I want to work on this weekend, but pretty sure the ground is going to be like concrete, so will have to wait to plant anything. Ho hum ..... Temps going up still, almost 90 in a couple of days, then start dropping again. 60 at night is sure nice, but still need AC on to sleep. Love it when high is 78 and lows get to 55! Perfect temps for me. And, while I'm ordering, I like light steady showers all night long, then sun to come out about 9 a.m., and clear skies in the early evening, so I can see the stars. :blueflower: Full moon tonight, clear skies here, should be gorgeous!

been cool here and unusually cool and wet and have not really needed the air on .I open the window until late afternoon and cool breeze comes in and the close up everything .It has been cloudy most of the day until I decided to mow and sun came out .Cool out and windows open now for over an hour .

suppose to be a blue moon. Cicadas are too loud to open windows.

our cicadas were gone by july .Started in june with there noise .Cloudy here so no moon so far .

I didn't start hearing mine until july. Oh they get so loud at night but I like to find them during the daytime. One had fallen on my porch and when I took the dogs out someone knocked it down. It sounded like a wounded bird. I looked for about 5 minutes till I saw it and put it out in the yard.

Sorry to hear you are sick JW, I will say a prayer for you tonight. My sister is sick and has some type of Crohns and you slowly become nutrient difficent. Five years ago I was on massive amounts of several antibodics for blood poisoning and I was able to recover slowly, you will get better too, stay positive my friend!!

Mitch it sucks to have frost warnings in August! I remember one year we had snow end of August, so things could always be worst..

I can't complain, bugs are gone, and weather is so nice here, tomorrow will be in the 90's and nights still nice!

We had mid 90s yesterday and then the storms rolled in. I don't like thunderstorms but they were far enough off that hubby & I sat outside and watched the light show. Woke up at 5am and remembered that the power had flickered and the outlet box I have my air pumps on for my sale tanks has to be reset if the power goes off. Sure enough, no power out there and the shade canopy had collapsed from the rain. I didn't see anybody floating so I'm hoping everybody made it thru. Supposed to be hot again today-

yep we are back to summer temps, hot and muggy, seems like it can't decide, summer or fall type temps.

Hope all is ok with your fish mrsclem. The storms missed us.

The sun is up and the fish are ok. Will have to do water change on both tanks but that is a every other day job anyway. Hoping to get these guys sold soon.

Thank you Colleen for your prayers. I feel quite good right now. Think those antibiotics are kicking butt! Crohn's disease is a type of Colitis and hope I don't have that kind.

Going up in temps to the 80's today...............fish like it, I like it, everyone here in Washington likes it.................I mean why wouldn't we

My friend Tara has had crohns desease for years and she worked for the U.A.W. union hall as a secratary for 12 years and she just had to watch what she ate and tke her meds. .Gosh did not realize until now I have known her for 22 years now .When you type it it really reminds you just how long you have known someone .Humidty is high here just came in and gosh had to turn the air back on after over a month being off .
