I'm afraid that is true that he will have to get some exercise and eat good foods instead of junk. He could eat it now and then but if he really wants to lose he will have to make some sacrifices also. I haven't tried the extract stuff yet and won't till I get done w/ this Colitis finding out situation w/ the gastro doc. I hear the script he gave me might take away my appetite also. It's called Flagyl and I looked online and people say it makes their food taste yucky. Online stuff isn't always the be all and end all of the truth tho.

JW - hope you are feeling better soon. Nobody likes to be sick. I kind of figured he would have to do more than swig down his green coffee extract between bites of his pizza.

Frost warning for our area tonight.
Mitch - is this normal for your area? We were in the 80's today - it was a beautiful day today.

Carolyn,
Yes it is. But it will stay pretty nice until near the end of October when we can start to expect full snow cover again. Our highs are in the low 70's now.

I wish that were true Colleen about the weather being nice and cooperative all year long but I think you had one too many of the Ganji herbs today! I did buy some Green Coffee Bean Extract as it is supposed to help you w/ weight loss. I know, I know prolly just another bowl of hogwash but I have to try it. Not till I get through taking this super antibiotic I got today to kill all the bacteria(even the good stuff) in my body. Doc said I have some kind of Colitis. Hoping I have the kind you can get rid of and not the kind that sticks w/ you for life. Going to be eating my Costco Greek Yogurt w/ all the good stuff in it after I get through taking the killer stuff.

Weather is full of its sunshiny self today again. I'm beginning to sound like a broken record but I will accept that any day over a long playing unbroken one of days and days of dreary 4 letter word stuff!

I obviously missed something with you, JW. Sounds like you are battling a nasty colitis, or you hope it is that! I can't imagine having something that acts like an infection, and you have it for life! I'm hoping and praying for a good outcome. Bring on the Greek yogurt! Hope all goes well for you. I need to lose about 20# myself, wish there was something to keep me from getting up at night and eating. That's my biggest problem, don't eat much otherwise, but at night, worst time to eat as no exercise to get rid of it, all goes to fat. I'm proof! LOL

Why do you have to have yearly MRI if you don't mind me asking?
I don't mind you asking, GG. I had breast cancer 10 years ago March, lumpectomy, chemo, radiation, blew through it all with flying colors, never even got sick, just stayed busy. Problem was mammogram did not detect the cancer, and the lump was the size of a large marble, and they focused on that area. So ... since my insurance will pay for it, they have done breast MRI's ever since. They have all come out clean, except the first one, someone thought they saw something, which lead to an MRI guided biopsy, which turned up nothing. So, 10 years and cancer free, which I fully expected. I am the first in my whole family to have cancer, and it's not the genetic type, so my daughter or son are no more at risk than anyone else to get cancer. Woohoo!!! If I ever get it again, I'll kick it's butt the same way I did it 10 years ago. Just ask me. LOL :blueflower:

I just found out yesterday that I have it CE and now I am in the process of finding out which kind I have. Thanks for praying for me. I'm hoping it is the kind that can be made to leave me alone. We shall see. I just took the 1st antibiotic pill now. Only 20 more to go!

Good luck with the antibiotics, JW! And, to clarify, you have colitis, not cancer, right? I just didn't want someone to read my post, and think you have cancer if you don't! Colitis is awful, though, and I can't imagine taking that many antibiotics. I sure hope they kick that germ's butt! Hope you don't get yeast infection to go along with it, as antibiotics tend to kill off the "good bacteria" in our bodies as well, allowing yeast infections to come into action. Sounds like your antibiotic is a strong one, going to kill off everything, so that's probably why you're eating lots of Greek yogurt, to replenish the good bacteria! Go JW!!!! :biggrinangelA: :claphands:

Our dear j.w., the answer to any weight concerns can be attributed to eating far too many bowls of hogwash. Sure hope your illness is minor and you get to feeling better.

It's supposed be in the mid 80's today. Already feeling the humidity which I hate as I don't like to sweat and it makes it hard to breathe :grumble:

I much prefer the cooler fall like weather.

Have a consult w/ a G.I doc next week and he will look at my CT scan results and go from there. Thanks again you guys for the well wishes :cheerful:

So sorry CE. My sister had bc at age 38. So I have had mammos since I was 35. This year they want me to have a breast MRI and my insurance will pay 100% if I travel 1 1/2 hrs away. Wasn't going to travel till I saw how much my payment was going to be locally.! What a racket!! Hope results are good!!

Raining with thunder. Shaking dog walking around the house. Gave her Xanax early because I watched the local weather. Have to find her thunder shirt. It helps a lot. Temp dropped from 80 to 73. Much cooler and less humidity. Just cant mow yard today. Oh well....

We are supposed to get that tomorrow. Gorgeous here - sitting pond side typing this. It is in the mid 80's. Hoping to have coffee and homemade cinnamon rolls tomorrow morning by the pond, so I am hoping the thunderstorms hold off until at least late morning.
