Fishy, if you do indeed have a solid yellow lily, I would love a start off of it maybe next year, if it multiplies! I do have white lilies with yellow centers, but have never gotten a yellow one. Show me a pic!!!
Was pretty warm today, but didn't break 90. Humidity was not terrible at mid 50's, but man did I sweat! LOL Got a lot accomplished today, but my body is screaming at me this evening. Supper and an Alleve, and I'll be much better soon.

We had severe storms from 5 pm until 3 in the morning and heavy rains .The ground out side is like a sponge and so far had to change my shoes 3 times and feet and hands look wrinkly from working out side .Tested pond and everything seems fine so far .Fish sure don't mind all the rain .At least i don't have to water any thing

A bit overcast today but should head back to the sun later on. As long as it stays dry for awhile I'm happy

Big storm here in Toronto during rush hour. Almost 4 inches of rain in less than two hours. Five hours later and still no power. Hearing a constant noise of choppers, not sure what that's about, guess I will read about it tomorrow, as the 3G on my iPad is slowwwww tonight.

Hope you have your power back by now EH! That's one heck of a lot of rain at one time.

Sun, sun, sun here it comes! We are on a roll.....................what can I say, it makes me happy. Temps creeping up higher and higher each day now. Hoping it will make all my water lilies spring to life for a color combo blast!

Yup, we got our power back around midnight JW. Everything in the house looked ok this morning (my quick look). I knew the roads would still be a mess with closures and disruptions to subways etc. We had some damage in our office, but nothing compared to some neighbours here. We got 5” of rain where the office is, and some units got flooded pretty bad. I now have a reason to get my brother not to put files on the floor (other than office dog chewing them). I looked in the unit beside is and there was 1” of water everywhere and over 200 soaked file folders on the floor. Still just a drop in the bucket compared to Alberta.

Hot and humid here. Now that I have the windmill going up beyond the ponds, I will have a new area to "plant". LOL I, too, am moving plants that have become too crowded. I dug out a huge group of hostas, Coral Bells (the burgandy one) and some Ajuga groundcover. I am sick and tired of mowing under the branches of my white pine tree, so put about 9 starts of each of those 3 plants under the edge of the tree. Not sure if they will grow under there or not, but going to find out. If they do grow, they should all spread and multiply and I'm hoping in about 3 years that they spread toward the outer edge, so I won't have to mow under the branches! I'll just keep using Roundup to extend the edge farther and farther out as they grow. Butterfly bushes are too gangly where they are growing, hang over the sidewalk, so thinking about moving them out by the windmill, along with 2 rose bushes that are on the waterfall edge, which is far too small for them. I told myself I would NOT crowd my flower beds, but seems I have done just that! But, fun to move plants to the wildflower bed, going to create another one of those, too, and make a hodge podge of plants that need to be thinned or moved. What fun ... well when it's not so hot it's fun, that is.

I has been raining a little but seems to have stopped. Not enough in the rain gauge to show much but enough that I slipped on the wet clay next tot he ponds and ended up muddy from butt to toe. Thinking I should put down some pavers if I can keep them from sinking into the mud.
