I'm OK and still here, house has been inspected several times, many crews of workers out yesterday. We had the police and city workers in the morning yesterday, got the gas turned back on, had a very long hot bath! Then came the fire department and they checked all the house stuff again and put a green tag on our gas to indicate all is good. Lots of houses here have sewer in basement on our block. Both houses on both sides of me and across the street have sewer backup and they stink when the wind blows. Then later in the evening we had the heath department come door to door, and some people were told to leave their house again, the threat of more sewer backup cause the city's sewer lift pumps are not all working, so sewer is still backing up in some houses. They said not to flush toilet or use the bathtub or shower, as it just was backing up into somebody else's house.... (I had the bath before I knew this).
The cranky supervisor from work was a great help, everybody from work in the flood zone gets a 50 dollar gift card to spend at the store. I think they are giving 50 to all flood victims and then donated tons of food too.
Weather is good, no cloud in sight, we don't want a big rain storm right now, sewers still not working right!
. We have had a lot of rain and thunder storms the last couple of weeks. Next couple of days temps in the 80's and by the weekend temps in the low 90's.
