It was 90 on Sunday driving home from WI (heading south) and only about 82 here at home around 6 p.m. Was muggy, humid, so turned AC on. Tonight, after work, front came through, so doors and windows open again to let in the 65 degree coolness! It's still fluctuating here up and down every few days, but it is spring. Summer begins on Thurs. I think! Love the light rains we are getting, just half inch at a time, which is perfect. Wish I could request that for all summer long, about half inch twice a week. :) Man, the weeds would REALLY go wild then. :boldblue:

Weather was nice for house inspection. Inspector was thorough and found things great and small. Big thing is house needs a roof vent all along top of roof ridge. Has only 2 small ones on the side of top of house. Needs painting and plumbing and numerous small things. Now we will see what they will be willing to do.

JW, Talk them down, wonder how long the house has been in the market, maybe they are desperate and will settle for much less? GOOd LUCK! :)

Nasty storm lurking all day, now we have storm warnings, lighting and thunder in the distance, Poppy is frightened and will need me for comfort, but it is so hot and humid, currently around 80 degrees.

Yes she will try to get the important things taken care of by the sellers as some things could really damage the house in the long run. She wants the house but can't take it if they won't pay for the things they let go while they lived there.

Pouring here now and your storm sure made for some pretty pictures Colleen! Hope it didn't scare your poor Poppy too badly

I don't like those ridge vent JW they are on the list of causing mold problems because they do not vent enough air especially on dark roofs .I have an attic fan that pulls air out and has an automatic switch it that turns it on when the attic hits the temp you set it for .I had it installed 6 years ago as my electric bill was going up and then added 5 feet of blown in insulation and made sure the soffit vents were open using the vent sleeves .I did it my self so I know it was done right and my electric bill is usually 97 dollars a month on an all electric house .I did use LED BULBS and used 2x6 stud walls with sound barrier board inside and outside and it also provides insulation .When my heat pump motor went out it went up to 139 dollars so i knew something was wrong

Thanks sissy I passed your info on to my sister. She can decide what to use after she digs up the dirt on each kind of way to vent your roof.
