Glad your power came back on to save your healthy veggies. You could have put them in Tupperware and lowered them down into your pond, lol!

Rains are over with here for a few days. I just can't believe that our weather pattern is not making it to you ladies on the east coast. It sure seemed to go that direction during the winter. VERY windy here yesterday and again today. Sure wears a person out.
Still have not figured out the birds that are flying around in flocks by my house. Saw them with binoculars. They almost looked like quail for a minute, but no top feather. Then they looked similar to dove, some had mottled bellies, some gray. (maybe difference between either male/female or juvenile/mature) My son did spot a wood cock, I saw a few of them, long beaks, but these flocking birds do not have a long beak after all. They have white undersides when they are flying and bank away from you. Just nothing really prominent about them to try to describe them by. If anyone has any ideas, I'll look it up and let you know if you guessed right! They look very similar to barn swallows the way they fly, so maybe some type of swallow. They are feeding in the fields, walking and pecking at the ground. Nothing planted so far in the field they were in, so not stealing seeds of corn. :) Also, they are the size of barn swallows, maybe a little bigger. Similar in size to killdeer birds, but not as much white on their wings topside. And, as I said, very nondescript as far as coloring, mostly gray, but underside is white when flying.

The storms are staying south of us ce, we are being missed over and over. So far 1.01 inch of rain since 3/1 we usually get 4 inches a month. And no snow load to melt and help the water table.

53 today, we might get .1 inches, but a high is keeping the rain down south. so you should get some sissy. We might stay dry. It is raining in the dc area, but not up here yet
