Light rain started yesterday afternoon, thunderstorms during the night, had 1.6" rain by 7 a.m., and then it poured off and on all morning. Probably got over 2", ditches were full, which actually surprised me, as we had not had rain for a couple of weeks. Noticed corn is up in fields near my house, that rain was just the ticket it needed. Got up to the 70's today, and this afternoon noticed several frogs making their appearance again, which made me happy. No bullfrogs, just the medium sized guys were out there this evening.
Looks like almost 80 tomorrow, but 25 mph winds. That will sure help dry things up on the surface. My yard is very sloppy, but hoping to work on the goldfish pond outer wall tomorrow.

We still have some sunshine today but big puffy white clouds blocking it at times. It's a bit above 50F right now and rain coming tomorrow.............why wouldn't it be? Gotta get off this merry go round!

Woke up to snow on the ground and it's still coming down. Snow/rain today and extended forecast says rain until Thursday highs in the mid 50's. We dug a 200 ft trench to run electricity out to our new shop and then another 180 ft trench off the shop trench for elect to the carport. Had planned on getting them filled back in this weekend but guess that's not going to happen. Weather looks good for next weekend so hoping we can get it done then.

83 outside, dry as a bone, stuff is growing like crazy. Worried about how dry we are staying. They are saying 88 tomorrow, or 86 depending on which forecast you read, then diving back into the 70's drifting down to the 50's again.

Rainy weekend here, Addy, so hopefully some of that moisture is heading your way out east!
Listening to a toad singing right now. Learned what they sounded like last year, and this is the first time I'm hearing it and not saying "frog"! Tarzan, my cat, wanted to chase the big toad, but I put him back into the house. I figure the big one is a female ... assume the male is singing and smaller. :) Will have to watch for toad eggs now. Wonder if they will lay them in the stream, or if they prefer water that is not moving. Guess I'll find out sooner or later ...

88 degrees and the rain they said we might get wednesday has now gone away..........geez
I will be out watering the young plants tonight, they won't make it ow. The stuff planted last year is doing fine.

The fish spawned today, slamming into plants, the herd following eating up the eggs. They sure do make a bunch of noise when they get busy, jumping splashing chasing........all seems calmer now.
