Ryan, great job, and great pics. I really enjoyed it all, and glad it went together so well. ICSD, I, too, was outside all day today! Was at Prairie Gardens (large really nice greenhouse) in Champaign all day yesterday with my friend, and we got some really good deals ... which is why I was busy outside all day. I can sure relate to Ryan with the sore muscles. First thing I did when I got inside at 7 p.m. was take ibuprophen. Feel much better now! I got a LOT of stuff at PG, and planted almost all of it. Just have a few pansies and couple Primrose, and a dwarf yellow/lime green grass to go. Supposed to rain tonight and tomorrow, so I'll get a break maybe. Here is my favorite purchase from yesterday. It's called "Pieres Japonica - Flaming Silver". It's a dwarf, slow growing evergreen bush, that has white clumps of flowers (you can see them in this pic) and the new growth in spring comes in pink, makes it look like a pretty pink start flower on top!

I wish I could send you the fragrance of these hyacinths! I didn't think they were going to bloom all the way like usual, but they finally did.

I saw over 10 frogs at one point, took pics of each of them, but won't bore you with them. This pic was kind is neat, double decker style!

I mowed my grass, probably only actually mowed 1/4 of it, the clumps, and when I stopped to see if the English Ivy I had planted around this one tree had made it through the winter, I found this pretty garden snake!

Here is my Parrots Feather starting to sprout underwater and also a pic of a Penny Wart I just noticed this afternoon beginning to grow.

Oh, crap, I need to shove my warmer temps up to the north, so you folks will not let your colder temps head down my way! It was 55 this morning when I got up, so the tropical hibiscuses are outside for the day. Have them up against side of house in corner of deck, so they don't get blown around. Letting them harden off somewhat in the winds.
Yikes, I just looked at my forecast!!! 70's the first 3 days of this week, then 56 and 45 for Thurs and Fri highs! I see 30's for nighttime temps, too. Yuck yuck yuck. Guess those northerly winds will head this way whether I want them to or not.
Saw corn being planted on Sat. I have NEVER seen corn planted this early. If they lose the crop to cold or wet, they cannot get insurance to cover it, unless they wait until I think it might be May 1. Those cold temps will be right when the corn sprouts, so will likely kill the whole field. Hmm ....

CE thanks for posting all those lovely flower/pond plant photo's and one of them.......the pretty Pieris japonica is exactly what my neighbor had to pull up last year as it was in the way of some construction they needed to do and they have been wanting to know the name of that plant so they can replace it as the one they dug up got wrecked. I knew it was called something like that but didn't have the full name and now you just posted it. So I sent them the photo and the name of it so they can now get some more of it. They say it gets full of bee's and is a wonderful pollinator. I'm gonna get me one too!

Made it up to 73 today. I moved the lilies up today and noticed they were starting to sprout so I put some fertilizer sticks in them. I put one in a bigger pot with kitty litter and fert sticks as well. That new pump for the bog is really doing great. I was in the pond moving some things around and the water got pretty stirred up. 30 mins later it was back to clear.

Cape, I wondered if you would comment about the Pieres. They had this in one of the mini seminars, and called it the same thing as on the tag, so maybe what you are talking about is a similar type of plant, too. I looked up the word you used, and got a bunch of galaxy pics! Maybe you misspelled it? :)
We've had 70's since Friday, but heading down to only high of 50's on Thurs. Two more days of 70's, had windows open last night! Loving it. I spread crabgrass stuff last night and it needs rain to activate it, so if it rains, that will be good!
