Been getting ready for my fishing trip this weekend. Got all my fly boxes out and have been going thru my flies and making some new ones. I had to get a lighted magnifying glass for my really small hooks. They are about a 3/8's inch long. My eyes are perfect, but I don't want to strain them. The pictures of the fly should be rotated the other way, but I was on my phone and I couldn't figure out how to do that. Those were taking looking thru the big magnifying glass that I have. Its just the perfect thing for making flies. If I get up there and they are hitting on something I don't have, I'll hit up the local fly shop and buy some flies. I'll with in walking distance to Minnesota. Actually the camp ground is 3 miles from the state line. Going to be 47 on Friday and 51 on Saturday. I called up there today and most of the snow is melting now and since I won't be fishing until Friday, the water should be runnign slightly dirty. Thats good for me. The fish won't be able to see me as easy. image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

Ryan we like to take our rubber boat out fishing in the lakes around here and hubby keeps saying every year he would like to try some fly fishing. He hasn't tried it yet tho. I envision little hooks planted in my scalp. Guess it's almost time for fishing season here now. Maybe next month if I remember right. Have a nice time fishing. So relaxing out there floating in the boat or sitting by the side of the lake, creek, river enjoying the day!

EH, have fun running off to Florida to avoid the thaw. Would be weird to leave w/ snow and ice and come back to warm temps. Pretty much ho hum same old same old weather here all the time. We'd leave w/ rain and come back to rain most likely.

Hey! Leave JW alone, she's just getting her fix of rocks and getting stone too! He he....

Meanwhile by the pond it was 53 degrees, and Poppy was sniffing out every inch of rock around the pond today. :)

What a beautiful moon the last couple of nights, bright and clear. Today, sun is shining, going to be a beautiful day, getting up to 52 they say, and now it's 59 on both Sat. and Sun., and no rain at this point!!! Can we hope for no 7 Sundays of rain, if we can stay dry on Easter Sunday? Woohoo, that will make my day!!!

Yeah, same here, Rebel. They are calling for lows in the 20's again next week, but I'll concentrate on the 60's for this weekend! Woohoo!!! OK, I thought it was 7 Sundays if it rained on Easter. There is another one ... when you hear the spring peepers (those tiny frogs that croak really loud, first frogs usually to be vocal), there will be a certain number of frosts after that. Well, I heard them last Sat., and then we had snow on Sun/Mon. I can't remember what the saying is, though. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?!

Contractor wants our forecasted rain to hold off for a few days so the driveway surface can be sanded in preparartion for staing. After the sanding but before the stain he wants it TO rain to naturally help clean out the open pores. Personally I do not understand how the rain is a better rinse than the water rinse he is ALREADY going to use. I guess this like me trying to understand ladies makeup... ( puzzled expression )
