It was beautiful yesterday, 63 for a high, light winds, sunny all day. I spent most of the day at my boss' house, Easter service then dinner and then kids searching for about 150 eggs we hid in the yard. What fun! Then my son came over for supper and he helped me figure out how to put my water lines back together. Going to get the parts today, hopefully. Today, 45 for a high ... Darn!

Had a nice time w/ family yesterday and weather was warm and wonderful! Ate too much and today have a tummy ache and I'm freezing to death. It's not cold out and should get up to the mid 60's so it's just me feeling ill that is causing the chills. Gonna go sit out in the sun and warm my bones and no more goodies for me!

Hope you're feeling better, JW! It was sunny here, got up to 50 or almost. Hoping each day gets a little warmer now, with no more back sliding ... A girl can hope, you know....

Had today, but had a nice walk with me and the hubby and the puppies. It was a nice day, temp reached into the mid 40's but tomorrow it is going to be close to 70!!! I just can't wait, that will be the warmest day this year AND my day off!! :)

Had a lovely Easter with my hubby, my mom, my closest sister too, and her son, my favorite nefew. I know I am not supposed to have favorites, but he visits me and my hubby all the time and just loves the puppies. He was born three months premature and we though he would never make it. It was his birthday yesterday, he is now 24 and you would never know that he was so very tiny when he was born (he was under two pounds) . I used to watch him like a mother, and he used to spend lots of time over at my house when he was young. I think we have a special bond, cause I used to rock him to sleep for hours when he was tiny and sick.

He is a special nephew for sure, Colleen, and you are a very special aunt at that! Yes, I truly believe that bonds are made when babies are tiny. I loved reading about how your rocked him to sleep when he was little.

Well, had a good trip this past weekend. Took me about 4 hrs to get up to my fishing grounds but was happy when I got there. The warm weather made things a bit rough for fishing. I hadn't thought about all the snow run off from up north where most of the water for these streams come from, so it was muddy and high. I managed to catch one trout up there before I started heading south for better waters to fish. I finally found some good water but it was close to dark but I still managed to catch another one while I was on some good water. I was going to spend the night but I couldn't find a place that had electric to run my heater and sleep machine so I drove back home late Friday night. The wife and I are going back up there in a few weeks so I'm happy.

Going to dig up my bog this weekend and make some changes to it. Got to fix the broken pipe in it, add another pipe run, add some clean outs and pull the liner up higher if there isn't a hole in it. I think there is, which would explain the water loss. Here are a few pics of my weekend trip. The second picture is of a house right alone the gravel road. Can't get much closer than that. The fourth picture is what most of the trails leading to the streams looked like. Normally is just a dirt road.

Looks like a nice fishing spot, maybe even nicer in the summer. I find most liners don't just leak, what really happens is the water is leaking out behind the rocks where the liner has slipped and moved due to heavy rain. I have a edge that is built up with landscaping ties on each of my ponds, and the liner is nailed to the top of the wood and rocks are glued to wood and stuffed with moss cause I was sick of the liner moving.....

Wow, Ryan, why in the world would anyone want to build such a beautiful home right next to the road? The pic of the other house looked like mud had splashed onto the siding from the road. Yikes! They both looked like brand new homes. Are they maybe going to re-route that road? In the one pic, it looked like a one-way road, if you met anyone while you were in those ruts, you would have to go off the road to pass each other. But, a person goes through all sorts of fun to get to places of interest, and fishing in streams is definitely a place of interest. Looks like you had some luck, and will likely have more luck when you go back there. Glad you had a good time and caught a couple fish!

The picture of the log house is a new house. It's been there for at least 6 years. The other picture of the house built so close to the road, I'm not sure what they were thinking. I don't think they are moving the road because that house has been there for years along with the road. I love going up there during the fall when the trees are changing colors. I plan on spending a lot more time up that way this year. My goal is to go up there once a month and try new streams. I like to fish the streams that are the hardest to fish and get to. The harder they are, the less people fish them. I don't know what I would have done if I had met another truck on that road. The jeep was already in 4wd and those were ruts in the snow covered level B roads. My jeep was a muddy mess after that road but a muddy jeep means I had a good time. The wife doesn't even ask what happened when I come home with my jeep muddy. She knows I had a good time.

It a beautiful day here in Canada! The sun was shining, fish were swimming and birds were singing! We got to 70 degrees today, and I worked all day outside doing yard work. That's my best friend, and my Bear is happy to see her cause her dog is Bears daddy.
