What is your weather like ... today

Today at the river road, it would have been nicer but that darn cold wind, blowing over the ice cold land, made my fingers numb, the wind is always worse out here, compared to in town.

Now why doesn't anyone down south come do a winter vacation up here??? Look at how extra lovely everything is! Don't you just want to go for a nice big long long walk in snowshoes up here Addy???

It looks like it would be beautiful and just a "little" work lol

It's cold enough here and I don't want it any colder thank you very much. Wouldn't mind doing a little cross country skiing but not in minus too cold temps. Makes me shiver every time I look at your weather bar Colleen when it's down so low

All the talk of snow and really cold weather reminds me of my year in Keflavik, Iceland, extended stay in Scotland and numerous winter business trips to Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. Gosh, my first sight of the Great Lakes was during a furious snow storm. Great liftime memories.

It is going to be nice this week
Our highs are going to be in the 60's lows are in the 30's I know but it is cold for us wussy's :razz:
We have frost on our plants and roof tops,
having to cover the plummrias what a pain :sad:

Another beautiful sunny day in the PNW! Only 37* but sure feels nice even outside. Will get down to 21* tonight and I'll have to roll the Mexican Fan Palms into the garage again. Think they can take down to 22* but I bring them in when it starts to freeze at 32*. Then roll them back out in the morning. Will be a nice day for my long walk!

It was an awesome 6 degrees this morning when I left for work! Just love the below freezing weather..... Not! Came home for lunch and checked the pond. Ice is at least 2 inches thick and only a basket ball size whole is open right now at the water fall. Suppose to get warmer this weekend so i think I can handle it.

Yep, ICSD, I'm hoping for warmer temps this weekend as well! It was 7 when I got up at 7, then already up to 20 by 9 when I got to work! At noon it was 30, just goes to show what the sunshine and no wind can do to the temps. T minus 2 days and counting til my vacation!!! Addy is returning from FL, and I'm heading that direction on Sat., leaving on Eastern Caribbean cruise on Sun-Sun, then Keys until the following Wed with sister and brother and his wife! Can't wait!!!!!

Which islands ce? Have a great time, we always do. Have learned to eat better on those suckers, usually sick of food by the 3rd day. Yep we are heading home most likely tomorrow.
Then a out of baltimore cruise towards the end of feb. Burr until you get to the bahamas, then nice for a few days then burr on the way home. They had some good deals right before christmas so we signed up for one.

Sadly, JW, I won't be taking Tarzan with me anymore anywhere. Found him dead in back yard, by the ponds. I have a bad feeling that he fell into the pond, and Yukon went in to save him, also falling in, as Yukon was covered in ice last night when he came in. I had totally forgotten that Tarzan was outside yesterday, and didn't notice him not in the house last night, as often he doesn't make an appearance, sleeping from his activities. Sad sad morning, but that's life. I will keep my chin up and move forward, as life sucks sometimes, but there's always something better around the next corner, and I'm moving toward that corner now!!!

Yes very sad sorry CE, but yes life goes on and now one less thing to worry about....
But on the bright side, the cruise sounds like sooo much fun!! Wish I could go too but I am tied to this house!!! Way way too many things that need my attention. My mom is getting to old to take care of the house, my sisters drive me and would not ask them, friends have kids and a life...., the story of my life! I got to clean the stinkin dirty birdies this morning.... wish they would have an
accident!! (Ha ha) hubby would kill me!! Hubby says the birdies keep the "orbs"? Out of the windows? I know nothing about that!

I got "spring fever sooo bad this morning with a good dose of PMS and too!! Ugggg!!! I caN't sTand my self!!!!

I'm so sorry to here this about your Tarzan, makes me really sad Ce. I know how much you loved him and liked to watch his antics of fetching and balancing around the pond ledge. He just made a mistake and now he's in kitty heaven w/ all the other pet friends of ours.

Go have a nice trip w/ your friends and family now and we'll see ya when you return. We'll all be sitting here shivering while you bask in the sunshine :blueflower:

Colleen what are you doing? Get busy and start cleaning those birdies and get about your business of the day :razz:

Jack Frost visited us big time last night! It's almost 10:30am and everything is still all white w/ the stuff and sun is shining bright again! About 30* right now and will be warming up and getting back into rain by this evening..........blah! Oops, better get my palms outta the garage so they can soak up the last rays of the sunshine for awhile.
