At least now the sidewalks won't be so slippery, the rain we had a couple days ago that froze to the sidewalk should now be gone! Poppy and Bear sitting on top of the old car, waiting for the sun to rise, which won't happen for another three hours!

Here is my rose bush, at the bottom of the waterfall, still has about 6 blooms open on it! I've seen lots of rose bushes that are still blooming.

Hey Colleen I bet addy could drag that banner to your siggy in your account and then you'd have the weather on your posts. There is a small one that has both Celsius and Fahrenheit that shows.

Sounds like a good idea JW, then I won't have to get up and look at the thermometer, the one I have shows both Fahrenheit and Celsius. To me Celsius makes more sense,
water freezes at zero, simple.
20 is a nice day.
30 T.shirt & shorts weather.
35, tanning and swimming
40 or above, look for shade and sit by air conditioner! Ha ha ha!

CE, I just love the sweet scent of the yellow roses, but they must only grow best down there, as the song goes, "the Yellow Rose of Texas". I have tried them here, but the bugs here just love them, you have to spray them always here, and so I don't have them. But your look so very nice... in December!

Yes, I see you are ten degrees warmer than us! We had wet snow at noon, did not last long, and it was mucky and yucky down there! We walked on a little path in the tall dead weeds, cause the dirt road was too muddy! Now it's going to cool off again till the next warm Chinook wind blows in!

Well lets try the small one then cause it shows both, yes, the small one too please and thank you!
Fell asleep on the couch in front of the TV, was tired, now that I am up I'm going to have a small glass of wine! Don't have to work tomorrow, will get more work done to house. I am really liking the yellow paint and how the light now changes in the room, going to paint cupboards yellow too, cause they need a paint job anyway. :)

Cool, LoOk! Now I got a "thermometer"! BiG Thanks Addy!! :)

PS... it was way warmer at 4 am, around 51 degrees!

It depends on where they are pulling the temp from. It is never quite right per my weather station. i.e the temp in my back yard. Sometimes a lil warmer sometimes a lil colder

I love seeing both the F and C, especially when those of you tell your temps in C. Love having your weather banner up now, Colleen!!!
I just love the sunshine. As long as the sun is shining, and preferably no wind blowing, but that's a tall order, I love the winter as much as any other season. I love all 4 seasons I get here in central Illinois. I still can't think of going somewhere that it is warm all the time. I can't imagine going on vacation to "where it's cold" just to get my winter fix. At least not yet. Maybe some day I will hate the winters, but for now, my coveralls and heavy coat keep me quite warm. And, I know it sounds crazy, but I actually enjoy shoveling snow on my driveway. Mind you, I don't have a super long driveway, but I enjoy the exercise in the wintertime. The drive to the barn gets done with the tractor and scoop, if necessary, but I think it has not been necessary so far in the 3 winters I have lived here. As long as my 4WD truck can get through the small drifts, I'm good to go. :)
