On a scale from 1 to 10, 10 being the worst, the air quality here is rated 10+ because of the wildfire smoke from British Columbia. Supposed to last another 2 weeks.

Wow miserable for you. At least we don't have smoke, we do have a lot of water in the air!

@Tara I don't notice it bothering me. I just go on my regular ride every morning and only go inside when I get too hot and sweaty. Other people w/asthma and allergies etc. the smoke really seems to be bothering them. It's prolly not good for me to breathe it but I'm not gonna stop being outside. Now that would kill me! Supposed to be better today w/actually being able to see the sun eventually. Smoke comes from all directions here from different fires except from the west over the ocean. B.C fires in Canada, Central Washington, South of us near Tacoma and many more. You can see by the chart the areas w/bad smoke and the places that show the actual fires. Today looks rather good w/the yellow circles being down to moderate smoke levels near us. I even see good green levels near us also. We are north of Seattle about 50miles.

@j.w be careful anyway, it is sad to see the fires on the news here. I lived on the west coast at one time, it's where I met my husband and have very fond memories. I can't even imagine what the people living near the fires have to go through, all of it looks looks so sad, and destructive. I will give my hike a miss today as with all the rain the mosquito population has exploded, no matter what time of day they seem to swam me in Hugh numbers. I guess the weather will always have an upside and a downside no matter where one lives.

yes be careful as you may not feel it now but the long term effects of inhaling smoke are not good
