Sun tried to break through but smoke over ruled it.
Stay out of it, JW , not good for your lungs not good for you. You have some good years left.

"Wildfire smoke can be especially harmful to the elderly. Even if the air outside or in your home looks clear, it may not be free of harmful microscopic particles, especially if the wildfires and smoke persist for weeks."

Humid today, very sticky until a late afternoon thunder shower. This is Boston picture taken from a small Island of the coast. Normally you can see the city clearly

Kinda sticky here too and only 77. Still have some smoke in the air. Better tho. Will get worse again in a few days they say. Then temps go back up in the 80's too.

@Tara pretty much every year now as it seems to be leaning towards hotter Summers here lately. Some is coming from B.C too but some from around here. All gray and yucky looking out there right now but does not smell like smoke. Must be high up or something.

According to our weather forecast, it's been sunny skies for the last month but you wouldn't know it where I live. Living between two big fires feels like we are living in Tolkien's Mordor, smoke-filled skies and ash over everything have become our daily life. On particularly bad days when the sun's light is blocked out very badly, I've seen the street lights come on in the middle of the day.
The only upside to all this is that the thick smoke makes one aspect of my stucco work a little easier. Applying Acrylic stucco is like painting, it's hard to paint or stucco a hot wall when it is in direct midday sunlight. When the smoke is so thick like it has been it blocks out the sunlight and it's like it's constantly in the shade and you don't have those super hot walls to deal with. (y) So there really is a silver lining to every cloud, even if the cloud is really just a massive smoke plume. :p

Trust me, it still smells smokey out there, you just don't notice it after a while.
