Fortunately we don't have many skeeters on our property, knock on wood and hope it stays that way. Those things are nasty disease carrying pests! I'd rather get bit by the yellow jackets then them.

I may have to throw my warm robe and slippers on to hide Easter eggs for my niece in the morning. She decided to spend the night. So it was lovely today, I worked on the garden, fed the fish, found I have a small one gone white! It’s maybe 2” long, but I like my big white one, so happy I’ve got a small one of the same color. Bought a peach tree, tomatoes, peppers, and a chocolate mint plant. Cold spell is roaring in, so I put them with my other new plants and fresh blooms in the gazebo hoping they don’t get hurt by the cold spell. And I’m letting my minion cats stay in tonight, little brats want to lay on the mat in front of the sink as I’m trying to do dishes!

@MitchM that is absolutely beautiful! I'm a sucker for a fresh snowfall. When it starts to get dirty and crusty - no thanks!
Our snow doesn't get dirty, here in the mountains.
The next phase for us is to see rivers of water running down the driveway.
Then hopefully some more green colours showing up!

We are having bright hot sunshine in the 80's today! It is gorgeous, birds are singing, frogs are croaking and it's shorts, tank top and flip flop time! Gonna crank up the barbee and throw on some rib eyes. Life is good!

Basically winter here. I wish that were an April fools joke.

I just keep holding onto the fact that by the end of the month, the average temp should be around 60. As of right now, the month may stay below average.

Went to bed last night and before I did I looked out the window to see what all that pounding racket was and all was white. Tons of big hail balls and some snow. All gone now but whatever psycho stuff it is, just bring it on me, I can take it :wideyed:

Well the next winter storm is uncomfortably close. We're expecting 1"-2" right now. Some areas in the state could see nearly a foot of snow. Hopefully this system doesn't shift further south.

It's April. I want May weather. We're getting February weather. Basically, we're a quarter of the year behind where I'd like the weather to be. I'd gladly settle for average, though.

62 today, tree frogs calling!

Snow coming tonight.

I heard a single Western Chorus frog a week and a half ago. None since. Temps dropped and all the pond surfaces started getting a thin layer of ice on them again.
