The snow is melting fast, once the sun comes out it just poofs away. We seldom get a long time sticking snow.

Y’all can keep it! I’ve got 70s, grass growing, got a new ( used) riding mower today, my husband was eager to go mow. Ended up in bed half the day with a migraine, but tomorrow I’ll try to go get all the random bulbs dug up in the yard so he can mow freely. Or at least mark where they are! I’ve run out of potting soil/ compost, so I’ll have to use some from the yard, just have to try and keep any weed, grass, etc out. But it is just till fall. Then I’ll get them all planted where I want them.

Grand Solar Minimum wreaking havoc all around the world these days. They say were moving into a "mini ice age" as our earth travels in a elliptical course and is slowly moving away from sun. Expect a long cool spring and welcome to the "new normal" weather....

We should get into the low 50s today!

However, every day in the forecast is expected to be below average. Easter is expected to be in the 30s. March has been a very disappointing month, weather-wise. Hopefully April will be better. Usually by now we would have seen at least a few days of 60s or even 70, just as a taste of things to come, but this year, mother nature doesn't want to give us that.

Good thing I like very hardy plants! Global warming, mini ice age, either way, I try to find plants that are hardy, and if need be, I can make a hot house. My little gazebo would just need new glass, and a heat source. I’d hate to try growing a garden in there, but if I picked my plants right, it could be done.

Today, it’s cooler, rainy. Much needed long slow rain, this is like day 4, and it’s just soaking into the ground. Our puddles in the driveway aren’t even filling up, that’s how slow the rain is. Almost a mist. But the plants are loving it. Looks like the field south of us is planted in wheat? Maybe. It was bare and brown just last week, we noticed yesterday it’s gone green. Very nice to see. Once the rain stops, and the grass dries, we get to mow! I think hubby might have to drive it around with the trailer so I can load up trash, sticks, etc later today. It’s not so wet I won’t go out, just cool enough I don’t really want to!
