After weeks of temps around 0°F, we're seeing a little warmth. Should get into the 40s for the second day in a row. 52°F tomorrow! We'll be dropping down to the teens this weekend. Still no decent snow and we're entering the middle of January! I still haven't been able to scatter my native seeds. Might have to scatter them without snow protection this year.

So far my year is starting off crappy .First the waterline in my fridge leaking ruining my floors then a flat tire on my truck ,then it had to be towed tuesday and then today hubbies explorer broke down at the post office .So now both are being fixed and my poor escape is lonely for her brother and sister .Look how lonely she is .Scared and cold and unloved .Poor baby

46 degrees here and rising. It was foggy all day today... I'm watching the news right now and the tops of any building downtown more than 15 stories high are just covered in fog and low clouds.

Tomorrow: almost 60 by early afternoon...and then the bottom drops out to the 20s by late night.

55°F! It's like Spring. The rainy, ugly part of Spring, but still like Spring.
In a few nights it'll be around 8°F.

It is really foggy out here but picked up my truck as it was fixed .It was the fuel filter .all the dirty gas out there because gas stations do not change their filters .The one in there is just a month shy of being 4 years old .Said heavy rain and thunderstorms later so wanted to get it before the storms hit here .Repairman will put hubby's explorer on the test equipment to see what is going on .He said the fuel filter was dirty also and changed that .These mom and pop gas stations around here really need to be inspected .Hubby's fuel filter was only 2 years old .I was amazed at how dirty they were .Alex is a really good at what he does and i trust him fully .35 dollars to change each one of them .I thought that was a really great price .50 degrees right now

Well, got home from my nephew's mountain wedding in WA! I did the impossible ... or so Orbitz would say! I landed in Seattle, and in 30 minutes (from landing), got my suitcase from the cargo hold on the landing plane, took 3 trains, walked UP 2 very long escalators pulling a carry on suitcase and smaller one over my shoulder, and ran the rest of the way, getting to my next flight with 6 minutes before take-off! Whew! But, made it home, albeit at 2:15 a.m. with work the following day.
Been super warm here in south-central IL ... at least it was until about 5 this evening! On my way home it was 58 degrees still (5 p.m.). By the time I got home at 5:20 it was 53 and dropping fast. It was 46 at 6:15, and now at 8:45 it's 25! Yikes! Freezing rain/sleet/rain coming down and predicted to continue until about 5 a.m., sometime in there changing to all snow. My deck is covered in ice, but since we have had several really warm days, hoping and praying no ice on the roads. 20 mph winds are not going to help matters either. That will cool/freeze the ground quicker than the freezing rain. Boooo .... back to winter we go!
