What is your weather like ... today

We had quite the cold snap here but we're back on the plus side of freezing again, above average temperatures.
I've had to drive my wife into her work because there was no where to plug in our vehicle. Two 3 hour round trips really eats up the day!

Starting today we should begin to warm up around here....it has been a bitter cold few days (weeks)

We should rise up to 46 or so today. Course ya know it is raining

My weather station quit transmitting, the cold must have killed the battery...................

just popped back on, ignore the time, this is not on the net station, nothing set right time and date

If it gets too cold it will crap out on you @addy. The one I have for my greenhouse says to use lithium batteries if placed in extreme cold. I think this qualifies! Your indoor temp is 61? Brrr. I used to keep the house at 63, but as I get older, and lost some weight, I keep it up around 66 now. Just put on my insulated socks. I could see steam coming off my feet.

lol we keep the house around 64, that station is over near a cold wall. I like 64 hate heat blowing around. We heat the house with the windows and a small vent-less propane heater.

Well went to turn on the hot water (instant on propane heater) cold basement, 50ish, but the heater is on a exterior wall...................it froze.................water spraying everywhere, luckily we went down to check on the heater, as it fired up boooooom water spraying out.

So no Baltimore, fix the rental, trip today, heading to lowe's to get fix it supplies. Luckily we have a new instant on propane water heater sitting here. No house water running. Plugged in a oil heater in the basement near the water lines. They are fine the instant needs to be better insulated, if we had left for baltimore and then it melted a bit.............we would have had a disaster ie flood!

lol I keep my feet bare they are my get rid of heat sink............ Hubby is always cold I am always hot, always have been. I love the cold weather, but this is a bit COLD!

We may actually get above freezing today! WOO HOO! And we have warmer temps ahead for the whole next week. Close to FIFTY DEGREES by Wednesday and Thursday. Gotta get myself out and see how the pond has managed this cold cold COLD spell!

Oh @addy1 that could have been a major disaster for your house! My friend Jessie's water heater is situated in the middle of her home in the kitchen pantry. It not only sprouted a leak but blew up w/tons of leaks spewing water like geysers all through the vents in her house flooding everywhere while she was sleeping. It destroyed all her cupboards, wood floors throughout the whole house. Insurance is covering it all and replacing everything from floors to cupboards, counter tops etc, Thousands of dollars in damage! Good thing you were right there when it happened!
